A shot from a lady’s doorbell camera shows the moment her date was driving away before she walked through the front door. Unmoved, she shared a “red flag” moment on her TikTok page, which prompted thousands of people to argue about whether her dating partner did something wrong.
TikToker jade (jadealyzaee) Posted a video To her account at the weekend. The post has attracted 6.8 million views and 1.3 million likes.
At the beginning of the video, Jade walked to her front door. When she does this, sharp-eyed viewers can spot a car in the background.
“When your date doesn’t wait for you to enter the house before driving away,” the title of the video reads.
When she walked to the door, Jed looked back and saw that the car had already driven away. When she started to open the door, she said: “He didn’t even wait for me to enter the house. Red Flag Two-I’m sneaking around.”
The video ends with Jade entering her home.
In the comments section, Jade revealed that the first red flag of the night was “No door was opened for me. He did pay, so he provided props for this.”
Naturally, thousands of TikToker shared their opinions in the comment section.
Some commenters stood by Jade’s side, shocked that her dating partner drove away before she went in.
“Some of your parents didn’t raise you,” Charlotte said. “You always wait for that person to come in, no matter who he is.”
Madison agreed and said: “It is human courtesy to wait for anyone to enter.”
“Dating or not, you should wait until they come in,” Brevis said. “I usually walk with them to make sure they are okay.”
Some commenters even shared that their ride-sharing drivers patiently waited for them to enter their homes before driving away.
“Even if my Uber Wait for me to go in,” Cindy shared.
“Literally, my taxi driver is waiting for me,” shared the famous TikToker Torio.
However, others did not think there was anything wrong with her date. In fact, some people think she was wrong to confuse him because of this “red flag”.
“You all asked too much,” Matthew commented.
“How to communicate why you won’t see him again?” Sarah asked. “How about being mature?”
Kaya said that Jade’s refusal to tell her dating partner was a red flag for her as if he did something wrong.
“You can at least tell him. This is your red flag,” she said. “The ghosting is not good. Tell him what he did wrong. Some people didn’t learn it at all.”
A commenter disputed Jade’s two red flags.
“Why does he open the door for you? You have two hands that work normally,” Natasha said. “Why does he pay? Have you eaten too?”
All in all, the reviewers reacted very strongly to Jade’s video. However, when everyone was arguing about Jade’s point of view, one commenter stood in the position of her date.
“Imagine that you didn’t know you were going to be ghosted before it happened elsewhere in the world.”
Ouch. Hope he does not have a TikTok account.
