Review- Most of us have used gasoline or corded electric lawn tools our entire lives. Overall, it is easy to set up and use, and I am happy to report that it is much better than the terrible lawn mower of my childhood!
The package they sent me was an optional version, which also included a 24V screwdriver/drill bit, so I will include a section below about my thoughts on this.
What is it?
Greenworks 2 x 24V (48V) 17″ brushless lawn mower is a cordless (battery powered) electric lawn mower. It is very lightweight and can be used with a bag to collect decorations, or you can plug it and put The newspaper clippings are covered back in the yard, depending on your preference.
The dual 24V battery configuration is very interesting to me. In the past, Greenworks and other companies had different tool lines at lower and higher voltages (20/40/etc.) to meet different needs. By using a standardized 24V battery pack, the 48V voltage can be doubled in some tools, and they seem to provide the best of both worlds and provide users with greater flexibility. A charger and a set of batteries can power more than 75 different tools (and continue to increase), although this number includes many duplicates, such as 10 different lawn mower models. A careful reading of their product lineup shows that they seem to offer at least one model of the power tool I often use, as well as some more exotic options (such as a toddler Jeep!).

Design and features
The Greenworks 2 x 24V (48V) 17″ brushless mower is made almost entirely of high-strength plastic, which feels durable. There are also some metal parts, such as handlebars. The height adjustment has an easy-to-read indicator, as shown above , But the actual adjustment is done through the button and grab bar on the top of the mower.
Here you can see the metal shaft to which the plastic wheels are connected. Even after several violent impacts on the edge of the concrete landscape, the wheels were still firm and showed no signs of loosening. The picture above also has a plastic shield that hangs on the back of the lawn mower deck to prevent things from flying into your ankles when you move.
The lawn mower blade itself is standard, and it seems to be easy to remove for sharpening.
This is the back, the green plastic cover is lifted. If you want to collect the cut lawn into a bag, lift it up, remove the plastic plug on the right side, and insert the bag into the back of the lawn mower.
There is a beautiful spring at the bottom of the battery compartment, which helps to remove them for charging. There is no way to insert batteries by mistake, they can be clamped in and taken out nicely.
Speaking of batteries, they are also a good high-strength plastic structure with a button to check the power level.
Installation and setup
The Greenworks 2 x 24V (48V) 17″ brushless mower is well protected in a very sturdy (and large) box. Quite a lot of ties hold everything in place and must be cut off and removed from all parts Remove the bubble wrap.
The handle is connected with quick-release bolts, and I find it easy to install and remove (for storage).
Next, I plug in the dual charger and charge the battery. Next, you push the batteries in until they get stuck. These slots are very suitable and not difficult to install or remove the battery (unlike some of the battery tools I used before, you sometimes need the power of the climber’s fingers to remove the battery).
You also need to install a second battery. This lawn mower requires two batteries to run and combines their respective 24 volts to power the 48 volt motor.
Finally, we are ready to mow the grass! Turning on the lawn mower requires you to hold the safety bar on the handlebar, and then press and hold the start button. If you release the handle during operation, this can prevent accidental activation and immediately cut off the power.
Performance
As mentioned earlier, I have used various gas and corded electric lawn mowers in the past. I am worried that battery-powered electric lawn mowers are struggling in some thicker parts of our lawn (they alternate between dying brown spots and super thick green spots), but it can provide power through them, even better than others The lawn mower is better. I have used it.
When it encounters thick land, it will adjust the motor speed higher. I never felt that it would suffocate on the grass. I have a feeling that the combination of a higher-powered motor and a 17-inch cutting blade is very helpful in handling thick grass-I have used a 40-volt battery-powered lawn mower with a cutting width of 22 inches. It Sometimes it dies in the thickest part and restarts.
I tried different cutting heights and used cover plugs and guided the clippings to the included back pocket. The height adjustment is very easy to use and you can go from fairly short to quite long (I have seen lawn mowers with shorter and longer settings, but this range seems to work in most situations). One note about height adjustment-you press the button on the lever on the top back of the lawn mower housing, and then raise or lower the lawn mower. It is not overweight, but it can be a bit awkward to put it at the highest cutting setting. All other settings did not cause me trouble. I prefer to cover my lawn clippings, but the back pocket option also works well. Even on fairly wet grass, both options worked as expected, but I didn’t find any clippings piling up and clogging anything. The back pocket is quite small and needs frequent stops to empty the trip (I had to do this twice while mowing our small lawn).
As a side note, in the image above, I folded the handle on the lawn mower for storage. Unlike other lawn mowers I have used, this lawn mower cannot be vertically balanced (on the rear wheels), so it will always take up a considerable amount of space unless you lean it against a wall or something. This is not a deal breaker, but I hope they can solve this problem when designing: our city only allows a small side yard, our garage is crowded with people, so if it is stored vertically, it will be easy to find a storage space Much. On the plus side, it’s light enough that I can feel confident in the end as long as I hang it on the tool hook-my previous lawn mower has never considered this.

The Greenworks 2 x 24V (48V) 17″ brushless mower sent to me for review included a Greenworks 24V electric drill/screwdriver as a reward. I used it repeatedly throughout the review period instead of the 20V Black and I usually use for various projects. Decker cordless drill.
