A doctor in Arkansas sent his patients an emotional request for vaccination. He described the “regrets and regrets” on the faces of patients who died of Covid-19.
In a speech at the Coronavirus Division of the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Dr. Michael Bolding said that he wants people to see the faces of patients.
He said patients know that “they may be disappointed in the world because they have not been vaccinated.”
“The regrets and regrets on their faces — and fear — I can’t show you, I can’t describe them,” he said. This video comes as the state has seen a surge in cases, and vaccination rates are lagging behind other parts of the United States.
“But I assure you that if you have not been vaccinated, the expression on the patient’s face is more motivated than anything else,” he said.
Dr. Bolding described a “dramatic rise” in the number of unvaccinated patients in their 20s and 30s who need to be hospitalized. He emphasized that many of them are “younger, healthier patients without comorbidities” who need advanced care.
“I had to call multiple fathers and mothers of preschool children—they are in their 20s and 30s—to tell them that their spouse will most likely not survive this hospitalization,” he added.
He said that after 16 months of unremitting efforts, medical staff have been exhausted. The video was posted to Facebook on July 16 and has been shared more than 6,300 times.
