Do lesbians go the way of the dodo?
If so, you may need to think twice before saying it.
According to the West Virginia University librarian, this may indicate a phobia.
You may remember result The Gallup poll in February showed that up to 5.6% of Americans classify themselves as “LGBT…”
According to the report, every sixth Generation Z adults (16% of 18-23 year olds) adopt this identity.
Among those who claim to belong to the LGBT camp, 24.5% are gay.
But lesbians are left behind: only 11.7% of people support “L”.
At the same time, bisexuals beat girls who like girls with a strike rate of 54.6.
What about Gen Z? 72% of LGBT teams Identified as double.
Bisexuals make up about half of the millennial generation (24-39 years old).
So what happened? Maybe many people who originally called themselves lesbians would choose to work harder?

But for Lynne Stahl, a humanities librarian at West Virginia University—he has an education in queer theory—this is completely disturbing.
It is not the concept that the number of lesbians is decreasing. Be clear. Rather, someone describes it in a certain way.

Extinction anxiety has long fueled nationalist, fascist, and white supremacist movements, and has often triggered eugenic agendas.
This is an interesting idea-we always seem to be told that white people are full of Anxiety and anger.
As for the ladies who only like ladies, according to Lynn, they are difficult to deal with:
Lesbians face political and cultural adversity every day.
It turns out that the insidious force is trying to pull a quick:
[B]But attributing our fears to the growing transgender population would dangerously divert attention away from institutions that actually hurt us. Anti-transgender groups are simply reusing the rhetoric that led to the extinction and spread of homophobia in the 20th century.
In Lynn’s view, phobias are increasing. Lesbians are just being “tempted” into the fallacy of transmasculinity.
She speculates that if this is true, they can opt out—a view that views transgenderism as “just a stage”—a “dismissal familiar to every LGBTQ person”.

For older lesbian activists, generations of women who do not want to be lesbians or even women are deeply saddened. “When lesbians disappear, what do we lose?” a lesbian in her 70s told me. “Everything. The grouping of “LGBTQ…” is a strange grouping. Some people in a group are defined by their gender; others claim that sex is not a decisive feature.

Back to Lynn, if people change from lesbian to transgender, she suggests, so what?
But remember-because of transgenderism, lesbians have a new farm team: men who are attracted to women and want to be part of it:
Misogyny and homophobia still exist, and they still harm all women and lesbians. Advocacy for everyone who identifies in these groups is essential, including trans people who identify as lesbian or bisexual.
Bottom line-don’t talk about extinction:
Lesbians are not a species, and when we invoke extinction, we contribute to existing racist, capable, and homophobic agendas.
This is an increasingly complex era.
Personally, I miss the days when people just want to keep their cars shiny and match their Swatches with their sweater vests.
But that era has passed, and the identity is the new Air Jordans.
Try to stay fashionable and don’t be a person full of fear.
