Israel’s new corona limit

widthThe number of new coronaviruses has risen rapidly again, and Israel has implemented new restrictions. For example, the Corona Cabinet decided at a meeting on Tuesday night that for outdoor activities with more than 100 participants, the mask requirement should be applied again. Even events with fewer than 100 participants are only allowed to visit those who have been vaccinated, recovered, or have a negative corona test result. Now, children must show a negative corona test result when they enter. The new regulations will take effect on Sunday.

Even before the cabinet meeting, the government had passed new travel restrictions. Israelis from countries such as Germany must be quarantined for at least 7 days-even if they have been fully vaccinated. The regulations will come into effect on August 11. For German and other foreign tourists, Israel’s entry ban continues to apply.

A new blockade is imminent

Israeli Minister of Defense Benny Gantz If the number does not drop, citizens will vowed to impose a lockdown in September. Gantz told the Corona cabinet that since there will be several Jewish holidays next month, from an economic point of view, the blockade here will not cause harm.

Israel recently recorded a significantly higher number of coronas again. According to data from the Israeli Ministry of Health on Tuesday, 3,818 new cases were confirmed on Monday. Previously, this number was 2121.

Of the approximately 9.3 million Israelis, almost 5.4 million were vaccinated. According to data recently released by the Ministry of Health, the effectiveness of the Biontech/Pfizer vaccine used in Israel has declined sharply since the beginning of June. According to the Ministry of Health, vaccination can only prevent 39% of coronavirus infections and 91% of serious diseases. At the same time, the more contagious variant of Delta is spreading in the country.
