Have you ever criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases?
In other words, have you ever committed a hate crime?
If things proceed in the way the teachers in Texas deem appropriate, then the two may be the same thing.
Dr. Peter Hotez, professor of pediatrics and molecular virology at Baylor College of Medicine, wrote a paper on July 28 aimed at opposing the most popular doctor in the United States.
according to”Anti-scientific aggression rises in the United States,” The elite attack is underway:
A group of ultra-conservative U.S. congressmen and other far-right public officials are launching an organized, seemingly coordinated attack on famous American bioscientists.
And, maybe, worse:
[C]The conservative news media repeatedly and purposefully promoted false information aimed at portraying key American scientists as enemies.
Therefore, Peter writes, “Many of us are threatened via email and social media…”
He claimed that some people were even “tracked at home,” creating an “unprecedented culture of anti-science intimidation.”
The lecturer listed the “outstanding” events:
- House Bill 231 of Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA), also known as Fire Fauci Act
- The Republican organization of the House Selection Subcommittee “About the origin of COVID-19 and assumes that it was ignited by the acquisition of functional genetic engineering research of the Wuhan Institute of Virology”

So what’s the solution for all the tracking and unforgivable words of those who oppose other people’s words?
Peter saw two options.
One involves only one statement, although robust:
The President of the United States should prepare and issue a strong, public, and highly visible statement of support with the scientific leaders of federal agencies. The statement will reaffirm the contribution of scientists to American history.
Another requirement is to “expand the protection mechanism for scientists currently targeted by far-right extremism in the United States.”
Professor Peter praised Democratic Representative Paul Tomko’s Science Integrity Act of 2021, Designed to “protect US government scientists from political interference.”
He speculated that this should also include “scientists from private research universities and research institutes.”
From behavior:
Every institution that funds, conducts, or supervises scientific research must… adopt and implement a science integrity policy, which includes requirements such as scientific conclusions not based on political considerations…
I am not sure that all institutions will pass the test-including institutions that the professor may agree to.
But there is a third aspect of legal protection.
Peter added, “Another possibility is to expand federal hate crime protection.”
certainly, “Tracking” and “real” (non-hyperbolic) physical threats It’s already illegal.
As for the rest, what will it look like when citizens of a country cannot criticize the government?
What happens when people are prohibited from asking federally-appointed doctors?
Several modern countries came to mind.
None of them are American.
At the same time, there seems to be some confusion about COVID-19.
I dare say that every American agrees with Dr. Fauci’s point of view.
