Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy is holding a banner morning. As i wrote before, He issued a severe attack on the right-wing opponents of the infrastructure deal last night, which is in stark contrast to his inability to make any criticism of Joe Biden’s recent behavior. Remember, this guy should be a Republican.
However, he is not finished yet. Cassidy then decided that it was a good idea to be on CNN with Martha Radaz (who cried on the live broadcast the night of Donald Trump’s election). Then, he continued to attack to the left, attacking the governors who stopped wearing masks, especially the governor of Florida Ron DeSantis (Ron DeSantis).
Try not to pull your hair out while watching this.
When asked about the Republican governor’s prevention of wearing masks, Louisiana Republican Senator Bill Cassidy said: “Whenever a politician disrupts public health, it is usually not good for public health and ultimately not good for politicians.” #CNNSOTU pic.twitter.com/tvAaDc99Wo

“I don’t know if he is playing politics. I try not to guess other people’s motives. I would say that politicians should not accept what the public health doctor says, but they should not do it-nor should they do it for no reason. Ignore it. There must be a balance here.
Whenever a politician disrupts public health, it is usually not good for public health, and ultimately, it is not good for politicians, because public health is affected. The American people want public health. “
I am not an expert in Cassidy’s past, but a commenter pointed out that he had been a Democrat until 2006 and supported Mary Landrieu. This explains to a large extent why he does what he does here. Sometimes politicians can change parties and satisfy voters, but this is very, very rare. Even so, as politicians become more comfortable on the ring road, any benefits seem to disappear.
In any case, it is shameful to see a Republican shoot at a very successful governor like DeSantis on a network like CNN on a host like Radaz. The latter is actually putting his reputation at risk by standing up as a leader, and in doing so is protecting individual rights. What is Cassidy doing–except Bad deal with Joe Biden And ignore the destruction of property rights? And continue to get these counterattacks on CNN? This is ridiculous.
In the interview, Cassidy also used his so-called authority as a doctor to claim that wearing a mask is necessary. His home state of Louisiana recently re-implemented a measure. Of course, being a doctor does not allow a person to have any special understanding of the efficacy of masks, which has been repeatedly proven to be an ineffective means of relief.Regardless of the legality of wearing masks or whether it violates people’s rights, they Not working at all,as shown by data.
That being the case, why are you still obsessed with masks? Why enter a hostile network designed to destroy Republicans and play a role in the hands of an extremely biased host?
Something must happen within the Republican Party. I have no opinion on the dissent within the party, but under no circumstances should any Republicans express dissent on CNN. These are Cassidy’s cheap lenses. This is embarrassing, and if he can’t do better than this, he shouldn’t be in the Senate.
