In the past few weeks, we have recorded in RedState a rebellion against the rule of law led by a class of progressive activists and “educators” in several counties in Florida and against the legal authority of Governor Ron DeSantis. On the surface, this issue is about the illegal mask tasks imposed by some county education committees, but in reality, the issue is power and freedom. Educators want this kind of power as if they were the parents of their children in the school system, not as incompetent staff like them. They want to prevent parents in Florida from exercising the basic autonomy that parents must train, educate, and discipline their children.
The basic story is this. Governor DeSantis issued an executive order prohibiting school districts from establishing mask regulations. About four counties continued to move forward and did it anyway. DeSantis asked the Florida Board of Education to notify these school boards that they would not be paid unless they followed the rules. Most people fold, but Broward County persisted.

In this case, Biden’s White House joined the competition. They are afraid of Ron DeSantis because he is taking action to prove that the demands made by the CDC and drunken gnomes like Anthony Fauci on the state are corrupt and unscientific. They worry that these actions will make Florida a reliable Republican state after the 2022 election, and may push DeSantis into the White House in 2024.
Suddenly: WH Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that if Ron DeSantis cancels the salaries of school officials who need to wear masks, the Biden government may pay them.

Letter from DofEd Secretary Cardona to Governor DeSantis

What are they talking about: Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said that school districts that have lost state funds due to local security measures can withdraw from federal relief funds Said in the letter On Friday, DeSantis and Florida State Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran (Richard Corcoran).
- Cardona said that in view of the recent surge in cases, DeSantis is “deeply” concerned about attempts to ban schools from enforcing masks. It “puts students and faculty in danger.”
- Cardona wrote: “The Ministry of Education stands with these dedicated educators who are working to safely reopen schools and maintain safe face-to-face teaching.” Local school leaders should be able to determine their own rules based on their own assessments.
- “We aspire to be [the Florida Department of Education] Cardona added and warned that his agency will work directly with the school district if needed.
As I have pointed out in several articles, I think this is a must for DeSantis. If he can’t control his state, he will look weak. Weakness is just jumping from political deadlock. The fact that Biden’s White House participates in state politics shows that the White House is very aware of the importance of this struggle. I’m not an authority on Florida law, I don’t even play on the Internet, but DeSantis can’t let this juicy late Orval Faubus stand in front of the Broward County school and say that the governor has no power there, whether it’s a presidential candidate. Still as a free spokesperson, still a viable national figure.
