I have to admit that I am a fan of “South Park”.
My favorite episode is the episode of Eric Cartman chasing the hippies, and the episode of Casa Bonita.
In this episode, Cartman really wants to be invited to Kyle’s birthday party in Casa Bonita. He kidnapped one of the guests-Butters-so that Kyle would invite him to replace Butters. But when they arrived at the restaurant with all the joy, he found out.
This is a clip of that episode.
But what many people don’t realize is that Casa Bonita is a real place—an iconic restaurant and entertainment center in Lakewood, Colorado. The first in the chain was established 46 years ago, but Lakewood was the last. It opened in 1974 and became a historical landmark in 2015.
Unfortunately, the lockdown of the pandemic has killed many companies, and Casa Bonita is one of them. It went bankrupt.
Because it’s so iconic, people Start working hard to save it. Now, the arcade and gift shop are open all day to visit the facilities.
Now, in the case of art imitating life, people very close to Cartman are rescuing to save the beloved restaurant.
The creators of “South Park” Trey Parker and Matt Stone appeared in his office with the governor of Colorado, announcing that they had temporarily agreed to purchase the Casa Bonita.

“About an hour ago, while waiting for bankruptcy proceedings, we had reached an agreement with the owner and purchased it,” Stone declared.
This is good news for all those who love this place, love performance, love to preserve history, and those who want to fight back from the losses caused by the blockade. The couple planned to keep all the iconic aspects of this place that they remembered when they were young, but they did say that they might try to improve the food, with the exception of sopapillas.
Cliff divers, gorillas, caves, mines, sopapillas, mariachis, creepy girls at the bottom of the wishing well, black bart caves, puppet shows, tacky gift shops, pink buildings, fountains…we are all still here Waiting for you, can’t wait to see you!
