On Sunday, with all the shocking news and heinous situation in Afghanistan, it almost felt overloaded, and it was difficult to truly continue to grasp the full situation. We are now overwhelmed by dozens of problems caused by the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, and none of the news seems to have really improved.
One of the most lame topics in the White House is the belief that, somehow, the actions of the previous administration bound Joe Biden’s hands in all this. Within a few hours after he was sworn in, Biden signed an executive order to rescind Donald Trump’s administrative actions, and displayed it on a large scale. As the commander-in-chief, Biden can’t do anything just because a person with no power has already done anything? This is a very sad line from the White House that kept Biden off-screen for a few days, only to release a hastily produced (and Potential risk) The photo-op makes it look like he did something.
Oh, now it looks like his press secretary is Take off for a week. It may be a planned holiday, but the time schedule is too bad, you would think that someone would suggest to postpone it a bit.
The Biden team reacted again because they had no plan. This is unbelievable, but it seems to be true. They did not listen to the general, and did not arrange for embassy staff and American citizens in advance. They seemed to not understand what problems a sudden and immediate withdrawal would bring.
At the same time, people like Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy actually say criticism is okay, but if you do, you should have a plan.
I think there may be a different way of withdrawing that will not lead to a quick victory for the Taliban. However, if this is your opinion today, and you are sure, then please elaborate on how your alternative will produce different results.

Sorry, Senator. But you have been working in the Senate for eight years. You had been in the House of Representatives for six years before that. Your list of subcommittees reads like one of a group of people who can propose plans-the House of Representatives Middle East and South Asia Subcommittee, the Senate Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Plans, and hell, you are even the chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee. . As a Democratic politician, you have had 14 years to make plans.
Especially because the Democratic Party has spent more than a decade condemning the war and often calling for an end to the “endless war.” Please note that this is not a bad idea, but it requires a practical plan of action. The Democrats simply refused to propose one.
You have eight years under Obama. You have four years under Trump. You can’t think of anything? When you make it clear that you have no practical ability to make plans here, why would anyone bother to come to you to solve any problems?
It’s not complicated. What the Biden administration has to do is to withdraw its troops at a speed that does not create a sudden power vacuum. It helps if they don’t announce exactly what they are doing and when they are doing it. It’s a bit like not declaring a popular quiz, because students have time to prepare, thereby negating the entire “popular” part of the quiz. All the Taliban had to do was wait for us to go out and they did it.
I mean, yes, some of them are on Republicans, and many of them are on the permanent bureaucratic war machine that Washington, D.C. has built over the past few decades. But the Democrats are so enthusiastic about the whole withdrawal that the Biden administration just did it without a real plan. Now you have people like Chris Murphy advertise there, saying that the Democrats don’t. plan.
So, again, why on earth do you expect the Democratic Party to come up with any real solutions to the problem? They just proved that they cannot plan to save their lives…or, at least, the lives of our allies.
