Not long ago, my colleague Nickarama posted a story that is very worth reading. Its title is Biden’s Afghanistan collapse may be deliberateThe key is that Biden decided to leave Afghanistan quickly and expressed his view early in his tenure as Vice President Barack Hussein Obama that we have no obligation to Afghans. This is the key part of Politico:
This is not a new position. Although Biden supported Afghanistan’s nation-building at the beginning of the war, he opposed it a long time ago. As George Parker reported on the Atlantic earlier this year:
“When Biden became Vice President in 2009, the disastrous war in Iraq, the local corruption of the Afghan government, and the return of the Taliban made him deeply doubt the promise of the United States. He became the strongest voice for the Obama administration to withdraw from Afghanistan. 2010 In 2016, he told Richard Holbrooke, Obama’s special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, that the United States had to leave Afghanistan regardless of the consequences of women or anyone else. According to Holbrooke’s diary, when he asked about the United States’ counterparts in Kabul When the girl in the school had the same obligation to the Afghans, Biden replied with the history lesson of the last U.S. withdrawal from Southeast Asia in 1973: “Fuck, we don’t have to worry about that. We did it in Vietnam, and Nixon and Kissinger managed to escape. ‘”
For this reason, Biden ignored the advice he received from the Department of Defense and the State Department. What makes this statement credible is that Joe Biden has not spoken to any world leader since the final phase of Afghanistan’s collapse began.
National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan said that since the Taliban took over Afghanistan, Biden has not spoken to any world leaders, although government members have been in contact with foreign counterparts.https://t.co/UgsOK2Qezb

He is arrogant for no reason. He did this deliberately and expected his good friends in the media to blame President Trump for the chaos, which would not be untimely.
Let me propose another hypothesis on the same subject.
In my post When we face the second Iranian hostage crisis, as many as 10,000 Americans are still trapped in Afghanistan, I noticed that no preparations were made to evacuate non-combatants from Kabul, and how, even at such a late date, there may still be 10,000 Americans trapped there. In fact, if this story is true, there may be 40,000 The number of Americans trapped in Afghanistan may be worse than the Biden team told us. how is this possible? More than a month ago, the Afghan government began to disintegrate. The intelligence community has always predicted that the Taliban will win within 90 days. However, no measures have been taken to evacuate Americans or process refugee visas for eligible Afghans.
Obviously, Mark Milly, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, successfully persuaded President Trump to keep a surplus force in Kabul, and believes that he can sweetly persuade Biden to do so. However, at the same time, the Pentagon did not make any plans or preparations for the withdrawal to try to prevent the incident from happening.
I heard that the United States is unprepared in Afghanistan because the Pentagon’s withdrawal order against Trump is progressing slowly-I hope they can put pressure on it @乔拜登 Completely cancel the peace agreement.

I worked directly for one of the three stars of the Army Staff, and I can tell you that this resonates with me. The Pentagon’s standard response, at least on the Army’s side, is a vigorous nod to any task you don’t want to do, and absolutely nothing. During the post-Desert Storm drawdown, I was an Army Staff Operations officer, and the first attrition (RIF) field officer since the end of the Vietnam War was imminent, and we were instructed not to plan RIF, because if anyone heard that we were planning RIF, they will think that RIF is acceptable to the Army. If we don’t have a plan, we might not have to do it because of magic or something. As a result, the controllable and orderly process turned into a stupid panic. Do these sound familiar?
To me, this all sounds like military leadership (can we start putting Lloyd Austin’s face on the milk carton because he hasn’t shown up for a week) to convince myself that he has convinced Biden to slow down Withdraw troops quickly and stick to their recommendations. They may have persuaded themselves that they have persuaded Biden to cancel the Afghan troop withdrawal altogether, as he did with most of President Trump’s actions. Then, unexpectedly, Biden decided that he was moving forward. Yes, his cold disregard for human life contributed to this decision and pulled the trigger for the withdrawal. The military and the country were caught off guard because they refused to take any necessary preliminary measures to evacuate non-combatants and friendly Afghans.
The other side of Nick Arama’s theory is not very charitable. When the military is not acting its own way, it says go, let’s let him eat it, and let this disaster cascade as a way to teach Biden precious life lessons, that is, when you are more than just A fastidious senator from Urinary State.
I don’t know what Biden wants to happen in Afghanistan, but I think he got his request.
