Because the Biden administration’s response to the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan is absolute cluster, Including especially important problem How to get stranded Americans Outside In this country, some members of the House of Representatives and Senate have been helping those who cannot get away by posting phone numbers and email addresses on Twitter so that they can contact for help.
Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), veteran In the post-9/11 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, he was one of the first to help. As the situation continued to deteriorate, he tweeted on Sunday:
If you are an American stranded in Afghanistan, or know who it is, please contact my office immediately:
(501) 223-9081 or
[email protected]The situation is terrible, but we will do our best to help you understand the situation and help you leave.

The New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman shared the tweet later that day, noting that Cotton’s office stated that they had heard that “multiple” Americans were “trapped behind the Taliban checkpoint”, according to Report that they “have no clear choice what to do”:
A Cotton spokesperson said that their office had received news from several U.S. citizens of Kabul who were trapped behind the Taliban checkpoint. They could not reach the U.S. border safely and did not have a clear choice on what to do. https://t.co/rY5QTSPLKd

You would think that a congressman tried to do his best to help American citizens get home in the heart of a country occupied by Taliban terrorists in a week or so. It would be a matter for all parties to agree, but the facts Not so, the stupid reaction of Angelo Carusone, President and CEO of Media Matters, proved it, because we Reported before:
Imagine being trapped in Afghanistan at this moment…and think the best person is Tom Cotton among all.
To be honest, if someone is in that situation and Tom Cotton is the only number they can call, they’d better call 311 in New York City. I am not kidding. Tom Cotton. https://t.co/IHR3GhIdLK

Facts have proved that, as the Times reported on Wednesday, Cotton can indeed help stranded Americans:
American couple passed the Taliban checkpoint and fled Afghanistan with the help of Tom Cotton
Thank goodness, they didn’t listen to the president of media affairs @GoAngeloIt’s so stupid. Hope no one does this.https://t.co/PIO5imKSRV pic.twitter.com/YgZT8ZqA3o

If the print on the screenshot in the tweet is too small to read, here is Relevant part From the article:
An American couple filmed their desperate attempt to escape Kabul.
The couple living in the Washington area said that they had failed to reach the airport many times in the past few days. Therefore, they decided to seek help from the office of Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, who has been vocal about the chaotic nature of the U.S. withdrawal. They said that Mr. Cotton’s office provided the name of the contact person for the military roadblock at the airport.
The couple shared the video with the New York Times at around 2:30 pm Eastern time on Wednesday—it was close to midnight in Kabul when they had just entered the airport.
You can watch the video (duration 22 seconds) This link.
Carusone did not admit that he was completely stupid to criticize Cotton’s help from the beginning, but redoubled his efforts on stupid people, fought his critics on Twitter, and accused Cotton of “stolen courage”:
Why is he looking for me? Cotton’s team is obviously more focused on PR than work? The regular voter service is suddenly abnormal here…for what? Is cotton usually not made?
Sorry, but like I am not as easy or willing to be deceived as Lentz
-Angelo Carusson (@GoAngelo) August 19, 2021
So it was actually someone else who saved it. Tom Cotton made sure that the media attributed the heroism and efforts of other people to him? What do you think this proves? Is my view of Cotton playing the PR game wrong?
Gosh, you must have caught me. What courage is he going to steal next?

After he wiped the pile of eggs on his face, maybe Carusson would wake up. I am a little skeptical, though. As far as I know, so many eggs usually stick to you for a long time.
