Oh, where do you start with “withdrawal” from Afghanistan?I’m not the first to notice But it’s not going well And, to make matters worse, the Biden team is providing conflicting reports on what they are doing to help Americans trapped there get out of the Taliban’s line of sight. For example, Biden gave a briefing today, telling everyone that things are going according to plan and that other terrorist organizations such as the Islamic State and Al Qaeda do not maintain a presence in Afghanistan.
An hour later, the Pentagon and the State Department stated that Islamic State and Al-Qaida still exist in large numbers in the region, and suggested that we will be able to deal with them “without reaching the ground.” Who is telling the truth?
Ladies and gentlemen, I think it is extremely unlikely that we will completely withdraw ourselves from the area. In fact, American military and intelligence personnel will keep some kind of base in the country. Biden mentioned this at the White House today.
The question then becomes, why would we allow the Taliban to regain control, and why would the Afghan security forces abandon the area when the Americans withdrew?
Of course, I do not have the answers to these questions. But I am aware of reports that the Taliban-already known for their brutal and medieval leadership strategies-have expressed their willingness to welcome the support of China, which makes me a little worried. As with reports of Biden’s unilateral actions, we only talk to our main allies after the troop withdrawal disaster has progressed smoothly.
Anyway, I talked about all of this on the show today and let you know what I think might actually happen (Biden is trying to split the baby, if you will).I also provided some thoughts on the fascinating “free man” (the trailer below) and the increase in COVID authorization-related lawsuits in entertainment venues and educational institutions (and pile When school starts).
