Since the Taliban quickly took over Afghanistan when the U.S. troops began to withdraw, Democratic TV reporters have attacked President Biden. The question is why did he do it, why didn’t he do it? It is erupting from the studio of the Democratic Party’s friendly show. Labels such as “sabotage”, “embarrassment” and “stain” were used to give credibility to Republicans’ attacks on Biden. Their negative predictions of Biden’s legacy and our position in the world with our allies are immature and unfair.
President Biden’s decision to end the war in Afghanistan has a 62% approval rate among Americans. He is the only president who has the courage to tear off the bandages and do what George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump cannot do, and that is to make Americans have no purpose from another field. Go home in the war. Since 2009, President Biden has publicly declared that the United States should no longer put its soldiers at risk in countries where the government is unwilling to fight for freedom.
Ambassador Matthew Dodd appeared on MSNBC today and said that Trump’s deal with the Taliban laid the foundation for the collapse of Afghanistan. He said that the collapse of the Afghan government has been going on for a year, and Trump’s “surrender agreement” has made the withdrawal of troops chaotic. In today’s Washington Post, Trump’s deal with the Taliban is said to include;
- U.S. promises to withdraw from Afghanistan within 14 months
- The Taliban agree not to let Afghanistan be a safe haven for terrorism
- The Taliban agree to peace talks with the Afghan government and consider a ceasefire
- The United States will release 5,000 Taliban prisoners.Taliban will release 1,000 American prisoners
- The Taliban verbally pledged to take responsibility for anyone who might attack the U.S. from Afghanistan
The Post said the deal was “sweet” for the Taliban. The agreement requires us to deal with the Taliban terrorist organization with confidence.Trump’s incompetent trading skills are evident in the wording of the agreement, which tells the Taliban that they must pledge to prevent any individual or group from threatening American security scholars (including Some from the Trump administration): The peace agreement does not have an implementation mechanism for the Taliban to keep their promises. Trump’s incompetence and self-driven desire are seen as a powerful deal maker, creating a naive deal based on trust in terrorist organizations. Trump also succumbed to the demands of the Taliban to reduce the number of Americans to 2,500 and drastically reduce the Allied forces. The deal with the Taliban continues Trump’s model of believing dictators and enemies’ commitments and statements on US intelligence.
President Biden took decisive and brave actions to end the United States’ involvement in an unwinnable war. We should have done it before the three presidents. Instead of being criticized for the challenge initiated by the former president, it is better to thank and support him.
