James Madison University changed his mind.
kind of.
Currently.
The college decided not to continue its wake-up student staff training—at least, not without review.
Just like me cover On Saturday, the Virginia School recently asked students working in the Office of Student Affairs to take advantage of “opportunities.”
Through vocational training, young people Informed They belong to one of two groups: privileged (agent) or oppressed (target).

Back at JMU, privileged people were told that they had “the non-labor social power granted to all members of the dominant group by the formal and informal institutions of society, while sacrificing the interests of the (target) group.”
Of course, schools could only teach employees how to do their jobs.
But those responsible took a different path.
A school representative explained Fox News:
“The training is organized to help ensure that every freshman admissions guide student has the tools and understanding to work with freshmen who may have different backgrounds. At JMU, we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming community for all students.”
Imagine, as a white Christian, about to work with a gay Latino. Just before you start work, you are told that you oppress that person.
Imagine being a black Welsh lesbian and being told that your American colleague who is about to become heterosexual is hurting you.
Will this create a better workplace?
Considering the efforts made, the school’s answer is obvious.
However, after the publicity, President Jonathan Alger pressed the pause button:
“We decided to suspend relevant training for evaluation and review with various members of JMU.”
“These are challenging topics that need to be discussed,” he admitted in a statement statement“And we know that they are important and require a lot of thinking and care. The ongoing work of the university can and must be conducted in a way that respects and respects all members of our community.”
Lest you misunderstand:
“We value and respect individuals of all backgrounds.… [W]We will continue to work hard to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and respected. “
He said: “The ongoing work of the university can and must be conducted in a way that respects and respects all members of our community.”
At the same time, JMU deleted the training videos from YouTube.
According to school documents breeze, “Student staff are told not to share the video with others once their training is complete.”
Presumably, this is to prevent criticism, such as Tweet Senator Mark Obenshain of Virginia:
“Liberals like to assert [Critical Race Theory] It’s just a fabricated conservative propaganda. Check out the link training video that JMU has imposed on its student staff. I hope students don’t have to accept this kind of awakening nonsense in order to get a campus job. “

As clearly stated in the email breezeAs for State House Representative Tony Wilt, he is old school:
“Listen, guys, imposing these ideologies on our students’ throats will leave us nowhere,” Wilt said in the statement. “We need our educational institution to return to its expected goal-to provide every student with high-quality education.”
Tony—like many critics of the way contemporary colleges are waking—may be a bit too old-fashioned…for the new school.
