As a red state Reported earlier, The U.S. State Department admitted that the Taliban had banned several flights from Afghanistan, including More than 100 U.S. passengersThe problem that was initially believed to be delayed paperwork has become a hostage situation, and the Taliban are clearly looking for something in exchange for their cooperation.
Although the White House has remained relatively silent on this issue, Jen Psaki has finally been bombarded with questions about what the president intends to do. Psaki sometimes showed obvious signs of frustration and anger, talking to himself, and blaming the government’s inability to promote the rescue to the harm he caused.
These are the first two questions, and then we will move on to the main event, as always, it is Peter Ducci of Fox News.
CNN @Phil_Mattingly Regarding the Taliban holding Americans hostage: “Trying to put things right…what is your understanding of the hijacking? If the Taliban stop them, what leverage do you have now?”

Voice of America @pwidakuswara: “[I]Does the government say that the Taliban is the only person who can visit and can check passenger documents against these flight lists? If so, what prevents the United States… from dispatching personnel… to allow passengers to leave[?]” pic.twitter.com/DXKF51mVDB

Psaki has repeatedly claimed that only a few Americans are involved. One, if it’s just an American, it won’t make the situation less important. But second, we know that there are more than 100 Americans on these flights. It’s not just “a few” or “very few numbers”. This is not just during the Iranian hostage crisis, which literally undermined Jimmy Carter’s presidency.
The press secretary didn’t seem to be sure what she thought. On the one hand, she admitted that the Taliban did not allow flights to take off, and the government had no control over this. On the other hand, she talked about how the White House did not want these flights to land on US military bases because everyone on board lacked censorship.
Obviously, the authors who saw the southern border crisis use the lack of censorship as an excuse. They are releasing uncensored illegal immigrants inland, and there is almost no hope of follow-up action, which is very wealthy. Still, if this is the problem, why did the State Department not just tell the people who coordinated the flights (I believe Glenn Baker was involved in eight of them) to let all Americans take one flight, and let Afghans take the remaining flights so they Separate? Then you can at least get that American one-way flight home.
But obviously, there is much more happening here than Psaki wants to admit. Peter Doocy of Fox News tried his best to extract more information and pointed out that the press secretary was at fault here.
Do you think Jen Psaki is tired of talking about Afghanistan and the Americans abandoned by the Biden administration? pic.twitter.com/YTDLZPmSkj

When Psaki tried to change the subject and said that we did not have personnel on site to check the documents, Doocy was ready and asked “Whose fault is this?” in his follow-up action. Then the press secretary tried to claim that it was not a question of who was at fault. But it is definitely a question of who is at fault. The Americans were held hostage by the Taliban because Biden and his government decided to withdraw before ensuring they were all taken home. This not only violated the president’s promise, but also created the dangerous situation that is now unfolding.
However, in the end, what impressed me the most about Psaki was not only her answer, but also her tone and lack of empathy. She seemed provocative and angry, and lectured to reporters, as if they were stupid to even ask Americans about being held by the Taliban. She kept playing down the situation, acting as if those Americans were not important. According to Psaki, they are only “a minority” after all. This is just a terrible appearance, which is the result of a total collapse of the White House.
