Xiaomi will once again become the first company to launch a flagship mobile phone using Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset.
Just like last year, Mi 12 was launched a few days before the new year, initially for the Chinese market, and a few months later for the European Union.
Like most mobile phones released today, the new Mi 12 has already had many leaks, but the latest leak revealed most of the specifications in what seems to be an official news picture.
So how does it compare to last year’s Mi 11?
Xiaomi has changed a bit this year, this is not some incremental upgrade. The external dimensions of the non-professional version of Mi 12 have changed, and the display size has been significantly reduced from 6.81 inches to 6.28 inches.

Early media photo leaks show that Xiaomi is likened to iPhone 13 This is 6.1 inches. Many people complain about the lack of small Android phones, so I think this design change will be very welcome.
It is expected that the Mi 12 Pro will retain a larger form factor.
The new smaller Mi 12 has a lower screen resolution of only 1080P, but due to its small display, this is expected and should help extend battery life. The screen has a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and has a DisplayMate a+ rating.
As you might expect, it consists of a brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 compared to Snapdragon 888 last year. It’s not the most exciting chipset release this year, it may not even be the most powerful, but it will still appear there, and it is the chipset that all the best phones are equipped with this year.

The camera specifications seem to have undergone a useful upgrade. This Xiaomi Mi 11 There is a lack of a telephoto lens, but Mi 12 is expected to be equipped with a 3x zoom lens this year.
The main camera is converted from a 108 MP 1/1.33″ Samsung sensor to a new 50MP 1/1.28″ sensor. My best guess is that this is the Sony IMX700, used for Huawei P40.
Then the ultra-wide camera is likely to be the same as the 123-degree 13 MP sensor.
Mi 12 weighs 180g, runs MIUI 13, is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery, supports 67W wired charging and 30W wireless charging.Last year’s model weighed 196 grams and charged 55 watts
