article – At that time of year at The Gadgeteer, write down the gear we’re using in 2022. I decided to do some different transformations on the office tour. Since my home is small, I don’t have a dedicated office/work space. Instead, I turned my bedroom into a room that could be used as a home office, man cave, and 3D printing workspace. So let’s briefly describe my small all-around space.

workspace

I’ll start my impromptu journey from the space where I write and edit reviews for The Gadgeteer (My Bed). But with the CYWORX Portable Desk, it can be turned into an instant workspace. This CYWORX Portable Desk Consists of 3 pieces. A bamboo table top and 2 memory foam support pads. The desktop has enough space for all the equipment. These devices include my MacBook Pro and my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I even have a place to have a drink. The table is completely portable and can be stowed away when not in use. Save space in an already cramped room.

My nightstand doubles as a charging station for my iPhone and Apple Watch.I reviewed Nomad Base Station for Apple Watch Back in 2019. I still use it every day to charge my iPhone and it’s my Apple Watch’s night home.

man cave

For obvious reasons, this is my favorite area of the room, made by 65″ LG CX OLED TV and a PS5. The TV has a great picture with infinite blacks and great colors. It’s the perfect companion for PS5. Even at 54, I still love gaming, and the PS5 takes it to a whole new level. It’s the perfect way to relax or release stress after a long day.

When playing games, I use HyperX Cloud Stinger Core Wireless Gaming Headset. The earphones provide excellent comfort and sound quality. I love the immersion that comes with wearing headphones. Contrary to my soundbar’s audio.

To comfortably watch TV or play games, I use AndaSeat Jungle Collection Gaming chair. AndaSeat sent me the chair for review in 2021. I love the adjustable comfort of the chair, and the rubber-coated casters make it easy to maneuver, even on carpet. Needless to say, I’ve spent countless hours in this chair, watching TV, and even taking a nap every now and then.

3D printing workspace

This is the newest area in the room.I received Voxelab Aquila S2 3D printer from a few months ago. I’m happy to finally review a 3D printer, but I’m worried about where to put it. I researched all types of desks but couldn’t find one that offered a good work area in my limited space. Fortunately, I found a DIY 3D printer enclosure on YouTube. The enclosure is made from three cheap Lack tables from IKEA, acrylic sheets and some 3D printed parts. It is easy to assemble and relatively inexpensive. What’s more, its vertical structure gives me plenty of work area and storage without taking up a lot of space. I also added a color changing LED strip to illuminate the printer and make the case look cool. As for the Aquila S2, it’s an excellent 3D printer. It is easy to use and produces consistently good models. I’ve been using it almost every day since I got it and now have a fun new hobby.

Well, that’s it, my little office, er man cave, wrong 3D printing, oh anyway, you get the idea. The space may be small, but when I’m at home, I spend 90% of my time in it. It’s great to have an all-encompassing space, no matter how small it is.
