article – Like many people, when COVID hit, we became remote. Thankfully, my setup at home is ready, as the laptop the school gave me wouldn’t be up to the requirements while working remotely. I ended up using my PC for an all-in-one work and gaming station.

Here is a list of what I use every day:
monitor: Both monitors are made by Dell, which in my opinion has some of the easiest plug-and-play graphics cards out there. On the right is a 27-inch G-Sync monitor (Dell S2716DG) running at 144 Hz, the 2560×1440 display was my main display until I upgraded, so it’s great for gaming as well as opening Word, Powerpoint, or video. On the left is a curved 32-inch Freesync-enabled monitor (Dell S3220DGF) also applies to G-Sync. This one runs at 165 Hz and the display is also 2560×1440, which is overkill for work but a workhorse for gaming.
microphone: It may not work with Zoom calls, but Blue Yeti X Great for remote work and gaming. When my camera first turned on, my colleagues were so excited they saw the mic hanging down. I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who has HD-quality vocal audio during a conference call.
keyboard/mouse: I’ve been using Logitech mice for years, so I’m still sticking to my tried and true Logitech Hero G502 mouse. It doesn’t have a ton of buttons, but it’s more than enough.One of the things I upgraded due to remote work is Logitech G910 Spectrum keyboard. I have had no complaints over the past year. The keys are programmable using the same software as the mouse, and I like the RGB lighting.
camera: Another Logitech product?This Logitech Streamcam Before We Remote was a review item that came in handy when webcam prices spiked after COVID hit. It’s very plug-and-play and works great with the Teams software we use. I am not using the Logi software that came with the Teams camera. It seems pointless to open an extra piece of software just to run the camera.
earphone: I have gone back to use Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Air Headphones until I can find one to replace it. I’ve noticed that all three Turtle Beach headphones I’ve reviewed have design flaws on each side, cracking and breaking. Sadly, while I love the sound quality and comfort, I won’t be using them for long as I’ve resorted to duct tape to keep the cracked area from getting worse. Before that, I used the Hyper X Cloud Flight S headset every day, but after a few years of use, those headsets also started to fail. It’s crazy how fast it wears out when you use it for hours on end!
Wireless charger: My mom bought it for me Anker Wireless Charger It’s very useful because it keeps my phone upright in case I get an important notification that I need to see right away. Not only that, but it also kept my phone charged while standing. pretty!
I have other bits and pieces, but these gadgets above are the meat and bones of everyday use by heavy gamers working remotely. I have one thing to say about writing this article; it gave me an excuse to urgently need to clear my desk!
