article – It’s my turn to share the gear I’m using in 2022.Since I’ve been working from home, I’ll skip mine Electronic data center and share my current WFH set up.I hope you enjoy this article and read it The rest of this series when you’re done.

Unlike so many YouTubers who all seem to have the same standing desks, the same monitor shelves and Grovemade desk pads, and the must-have fake potted plants, I’m a real person. I also share my office with my significant other and they have so many handmade supplies that they have nowhere to store, so they are cluttered under the desk. I’m sharing this office setup because it requires very little tidying up before taking these photos.

Let’s start with something not literally, but about as big as the big image in the room – mine Dell UltraSharp 49″ Curved Monitor. I’m spending big on this monitor as a Christmas present to myself in late 2020. I bought it to replace two 27″ monitors, I use it for personal and work setups, since I’ve been working from home since March 2020, I want to simplify and consolidate the two systems.

The best thing about Dell monitors is that I can connect my 13″ MacBook Pro and my Dell laptop to do my day job (Cummins) and display them at the same time.

I also used a Logitech MX Master Keys Keyboard with one Logitech MX Master 3 Mouse. Both peripherals can be connected to two computers and easily switch between them with a quick button press.

I won’t talk about my day job gear because I’ve been retired from Cummins for 34 years! My last normal working day was 1/31/22 and my official last day was 3/15/22 because all my vacations have passed.

After a month of not working at the same time, I convinced myself to ditch the Dell monitor because using it only on my MacBook Pro felt like overkill. I even asked my friend if he wanted to buy it, but at the last minute I changed my mind and am glad I did. It’s nice to be able to have 2 full-size browser windows in the center and right of the screen, and then other windows like Messages, Finder, and Apple Notes on the left. So for now, I keep this beast.

On the right side of my keyboard, is an orange crochet pad that my sister made for me for Christmas. At the top of the pad is a field note notebook, which is my current journal/notebook.I’m also thinking of switching to something else in March so have a Baori Technology planner/magazine sits on it Hobonichi Zhou Zhao Planner/Magazine.If I don’t have enough notebooks on my desk, there’s another Rocketbook Notepad I use it to jot down quick one-off notes that I don’t want to remember.

On the left side of the journal pad, is a towel I use it as a napkin since I have breakfast and lunch at my desk. You’ll also notice plenty of pens and markers, as I love the colors in my journal and I love drawing/doodles.My current favorite is Tombow Dual Brush Pen, Pilot G2 Gel Penand Pilot Juice Up Gel Pen.

You might be wondering about game controllers, which are Steelseries Nimbus+ Wireless Controller I bought it for myself to play more games. This was only resolved recently when I decided to start playing some games on my iPad and iPhone.now i enjoy Dreadrock Dungeon.

To the left of the controller is an Apple Pencil replacement, which I’m currently reviewing, so stay tuned.

The Q&A book is a 5-year journal (did we notice a theme here?) that asks a question that you have to answer on the same day for 5 years. almost full…

On the shelving unit, you may see Polaroid Hi-Print Pocket Photo Printer. I use it all the time to print photo stickers…you guessed it, my diary! 🙂 Well, I promise, no more journaling.

I also use Apple AirPods Pro earbuds, Zike MagSafe Wireless Charger has a built in fan, i have a HidrateSpark PRO Smart Kettle I bought it for myself to help me drink more water. It’s cool because it’s lit throughout the day to remind me that I’m not drinking enough.I find my blood sugar levels are higher when I’m dehydrated, so this water bottle and my FreeStyle Libre 14 Day Glucose Sensor is helping me manage my diabetes. I will be reviewing the water bottle soon.

The table you see was custom made using a kitchen countertop and drawer unit purchased from Lowes about 20 or more years ago. We designed the table in a U shape, but I didn’t show Jeanne’s side of the table because it was messy 😉

Above the table is a huge steel bulletin board, painted with a rusted industrial feel. Attached to the bottom edge of the bulletin board is a magnetic self that holds my robot collection.

chair is a Steelcase Leap Office Chair I bought it at the end of 2020 when I realized the WFH gig was going to be going on for a while. This chair is another splurge, but well worth it because I sit on it for so long every day.

The left arm of the U-shaped desk is used for taking review samples, using SHOTBOX Portable Photography Light Box Under the table is the Brother laser printer I’ve owned for years.

Not shown but used day in and day out is my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I hope you enjoy seeing the gear I use every day.If you have any questions feel free to ask below, I hope you will consider reading The rest of the series is at The Gadgeteer.
