EKSA H1 Noise Cancelling Trucker Bluetooth Headphones with Mic Review

review – As most of you are hearing by now, one of the benefits of the Covid pandemic is more options for working remotely.Just recently my wife started a new WFH Working almost 100% remotely, virtual meetings are now the norm for her. Her company provides a new laptop, and she buys a USB headset for her meetings. It works great, the only downside is that it is always 100% connected to the laptop. When I had a chance to test and review this EKSA H1 Noise Cancelling Trucker Bluetooth Headphones with Mic, I thought it might be a better option for her. She has been using it for a few weeks now. Let’s see what she thinks.

EKSA H1 headphones are mainly made of plastic. Control buttons are located on the side of the handset. The microphone arm swivels to accommodate you wearing it on either ear. The headband is also extended. There’s a tiny LED next to the USB port to indicate charging status.

Performance

First, I fully charged the headset and connected it to my wife’s laptop.

Bluetooth connection is simple and straightforward.
Next, it was time for my wife to test it out through her Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings, regular phone calls, and online training workshops.

After using the EKSA H1 headset for a few weeks, my wife loves it so much that she now uses it every day for Zoom and MS Teams meetings, as well as for her online training sessions and workshops. She loves the audio quality and has gone to the other side of our house and the bluetooth has stayed connected. She can also use her iPhone 12 max to make phone calls without issue. She says it’s comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and the noise-canceling effect is good. The only problem she had was that on a few occasions, other attendees on Zoom said they couldn’t hear her. However, based on testing on other platforms, we assume this is most likely a Zoom quality issue.

final thoughts

While the EKSA H1 headphones feel very “plastic” and shouldn’t be roughed up, my wife really appreciates the overall performance. The freedom of Bluetooth along with good sound and the flexibility to use it on either ear are great features. A few times while using Zoom, other attendees complained that they couldn’t hear my wife’s voice. However, since they work for everything else, they should do just fine!
