review ——”A breath of fresh air” may just be the supplement of this decade. Amid all these years of lockdowns, masks, and nature’s grand revenge on pollen, I think my air purifier has become my best friend. My current air purifier is huge; it’s too loud for a bedroom due to the way it handles air for large spaces (I don’t know about you, but sleeping next to a jet engine isn’t the tranquility I want). We use it for the entire first floor of my home and it’s a workhorse. So what happens when you’re looking for something that can only handle one room? Something that maintains air quality, reduces noise levels and doesn’t require constant supervision? The Purivortex V1 Air Purifier is your answer.

Design and Features
The Purivortex V1 Air Purifier is a compact rounded square unit that I compare to the size of an average gallon of milk. The unit is completely controlled by a touch interface located at the very top. Inside, this air purifier has a DC3 brushless motor that draws air from around the entire unit, providing faster purification and clean air output. But by far my favorite feature is sleep mode. Not only does it set the device to a quieter mode, but it also has a calming blue night light that’s not only pretty but useful for those midnight snacking trips. Of course, the Purivortex V1 also offers the ability to set timers and select fan speeds from the control panel. This unit does not include a remote; not a deal breaker, but would be a better user experience option.

Setup and use
Setting up this unit couldn’t be easier, and it’s truly plug-and-play. Find your power and -BAM – you’re ready to invite fresh air to the party in about 270 square feet of space.

what do I like
- The unit can be moved from room to room or even taken to the reviewer’s office
- The highest fan mode will be louder than your sleep mode, but the fact that you can make it quieter and still have an effect is awesome
- I know this is an old hat for a lot of electronics these days, but letting myself set it up and forget about it helps alleviate the small amount of guilt I have about all the electronics running
- Night light. It’s not the blazing neon light you can see from space, it’s a beautiful blue that’s very useful, especially in the middle of the night when there might be more stops
- Purivortex V1 can also be recycled at the end of its useful life.Obviously, I haven’t tried it, but I really like this option

what would i change
- Even with just a small one, I can use the command bar to connect the device to my nightstand.I think this will improve those nights when I set a timer but my brain doesn’t turn off, now I want the device to keep running without leaving my bed
- Reusable filter.I know these filters do last a long time, but reusable, washable filters reduce maintenance costs and minimize environmental impact
- A remote would be a nice feature; if you can’t find space in a convenient location, the remote will give you the freedom to control anywhere in the room
Overall, I really like the Purivortex V1 air purifier. Its portable and compact shape allows for more independent use. It provides the most comfortable and reassuring experience in terms of air quality. For such a small footprint, it’s all-inclusive.
