Bellroy Flip Case wallet review

Review -I am always looking for my next favorite wallet. In the past 6 months, my favorite is AKEENi XSTO Minimalist Wallet I reviewed it in December. It will always be one of my favorites because of the Gadgeteer logo engraved on it. But I recently received the Bellroy Flip Case wallet to try it out. It combines leather with a unique compact design. Will it become my new favorite? Let us find out.

what is it?

Bellroy Flip Case is a wallet It can hold 6-8 cards, and there are 5 leather colors to choose from.

What’s in the box?

Design and features

Bellroy Flip Case Wallet

Like all Pellet products, And its design is among the best in terms of functionality. The Flip Case wallet not only looks great, it also feels great in your hand, it also provides some great storage features. Say one sentence three times. Is this my record?

Seriously, let’s talk about the design of this wallet. First of all, it has the appearance of ecologically tanned leather, and you can choose from 5 colors. The inside is made of polymer, giving the wallet a hard outer shell, giving it smooth rounded corners and edges, making it easy to slip into the jeans pocket or your pocket EDC package.

The Bellroy logo is an inconspicuous small seal on the corner. I am grateful when brands feel that they do not need to put their logo on their products.

The cool thing about the Bellroy Flip Case wallet is its 2 storage compartments, each of which is fixed behind a magnetic trapdoor. That’s right, this wallet uses magnets, so it gets a +5 cool point.

The top edge has a slot between the trapdoors, which can be easily opened with your thumb.

The side with beveled trapdoor can hold 2 cards. I use it to quickly retrieve my driver’s license and credit card.

The opposite storage area is larger and can hold 6 cards or 4 cards and some folded cash.

This is a side view that allows you to better understand how the trapdoor folds down from the center of the Bellroy Flip Case wallet. Note: This wallet provides RFID protection, so yeah.

Although the specified capacity of the wallet is 8 cards, it depends on the type of card. If you use a smooth card, 8 is the correct number, but if your card has embossed numbers and/or text, the wallet will not hold that much. So this is just something to remember.

This is a view of the larger compartment. I have 4 glossy cards with 2 folded dollar bills on them. I can add the 3rd dollar, maybe even the 5th card, but the fit is so high that it is difficult to take out the cash or card without any effort. For minimal wallets, less is more.

The way I own the Bellroy Flip Case wallet allows me to quickly and easily remove my most commonly used cards or cash within a few seconds of taking the wallet out of my pocket.

what do I like

  • Pocket
  • RFID protection
  • Hold card and cash

What will i change

  • Add the function of customizing the capacity of the cash section

Final thoughts

I am always excited when I try a new and unique minimalist wallet, but when it comes to choosing my everyday wallet, I am very picky. I look for something truly compact, but at the same time, it must be easy to access the card because I don’t want to fumble with the people waiting behind me at the checkout. Fortunately, the Bellroy Flip Case wallet has the advantage of being compact and easy to use.I only used it for a short time, but it quickly became my favorite and will soon appear on my wallet Julie’s favorite gear page. Good job Beloy!
