Why is it important to watch what happened In Cuba?
Not only because it is 90 miles from our coast. Not just because their struggle for freedom from communist oppression is fascinating, we should do our best to support it.
But as George Santayana said, because “those who cannot remember the past are destined to repeat the same mistakes.” Understanding and understanding are in our own interests.
We have seen Joe Biden being pushed as a moderate, now he has joined, and he is ruling like an extreme leftist. We have seen that the left has promoted socialism or modified it well by calling it “democratic socialism.” Too many people are affected by this in college, and now even in high school. We have seen this country lean more and more to the left, until today we got the government Suggest It is normal to force social media to close people/accounts for “misinformation”, or to let the government talk about checking our text messages.
Many people do not know the history of Cuba. People are disturbed by the corrupt Fulgencio Batista and are looking for alternatives. Fidel Castro came up with what people want to hear.
He promised to end corruption. He promised to improve living conditions. Although his true vision for Cuba remains a mystery, he has received widespread support on and off the island.
Castro’s plan was so unclear that he was welcomed as a hero during a well-known trip to the United States, where he gathered the support of liberals and the curiosity of many others.
Some people in the United States fell for the claim that Fidel Castro was not a communist. He said before he came to power because he wanted to quell the United States. He knew that we were very anti-Communist at that time. He knew that we would be very worried about a communist-controlled country not far from our coast. So it is basically a bait and switch.
This video is actually a good flashback to what Castro was promoting at the time. Does it sound familiar?
Before becoming the leader of Cuba, Fidel Castro claimed that his political philosophy was “representative democracy and social justice” and denied any desire to implement communism or Marxism. pic.twitter.com/5xTPTPw9b5

How is that solved? Of course, he is a member of the Communist Party, and he claims to be a Marxist-Leninist. It was made public in 1961.
However, he didn’t say that at first, because he knew it would inhibit his ability to seize power.
Can we learn from it? As Candace Owens and Robby Starbuck pointed out in the video, he sounds a lot like some of the famous ultra-left Democrats and socialists today.
This is about pushing the country along this path, pushing any issues of division-whether it is race or social justice-to make the country a step further. Until it is over, you can’t do anything to bring it back, it’s too late.
