Today, we have a real “Grif recognizes the Grift” moment. CNN’s Brian Stelter invited the disgraced writer Michael Wolff to his show this morning, probably in the hope that he would spend his entire time attacking Donald · Trump (Donald Trump) and provided material for CNN’s report.
If you don’t remember who Wolfe is, he is the one who made his media star explode Write a book full of provable false assertions About the Trump White House. He basically lived on CNN and MSNBC for a while, until it became clear that his bad pursuit of the Orange Man did more harm than good.
Nonetheless, and because Stelter has no news standards, he asked Wolfe to return to his show to insert his latest anti-Trump book. However, the CNN host got something he didn’t bargain for-he was criticized on his own show.

Wolff called Stelter polite (fact check: true) and pointed out that he is the reason people hate the media and don’t trust them. He also pointed out the false virtues of the media regarding the truth they claimed. You can see Stelter becoming uncomfortable, obviously startled by what he heard. Before Wolfe’s rant (not shown in the clip), he was talking about Trump’s interaction with media figures, so things in the conversation turned quite quickly.

After Stelter failed to mock Wolff’s remarks, the author then pointed out that CNN and other networks were too repetitive and had been talking about “the same way.” This is undoubtedly correct. There may be a hundred more important related stories going on in the world, but if Trump slowly walks down the ramp or sips his water with two hands, this will cause another group of six to lash out on CNN Republicans. What Stelter and his network do is nothing new or original, which may explain their Crashing ratings.
After Stelter said he was just looking for the truth of the news report, things continued. Wolfe responded that people did not want to listen to Brian Stelter being told “what is real.” After Stelter asked him why he still came to CNN, the session ended. Wolfe replied, “Well, I’m a book salesman,” which is quite effective humor.
In the end, it was more like a train crash, but anyway, it was definitely an interesting two minutes. In view of Wolfe’s own past record, Wolfe is obviously not the arbiter of the real situation. However, what he said to Stelter was not wrong. Sometimes a bad messenger can deliver a good message. At the same time, CNN’s management and moderators seemed content to continue to operate their network. This is great for me.
