A new poll shows that Californians are eager to get Gavin Newsom out of the governor’s seat-RedState

a new one SurveyUSA poll More spells taken between August 2 and 4 bad news Because of his hairiness.

According to the latest exclusive polls conducted by SurveyUSA on KABC-TV and KGTV 10News and the San Diego Tribune in Los Angeles, in today’s upcoming California governor’s recall election, 51% of possible voters will vote for the removal of the current California governor Gavin Newther Hm.

40% of people will vote against it, allowing Newsom to remain in power.

16 points spread to support the recall? This is a huge leap compared to last week Emerson College Poll.

Republicans supported the recall at a ratio of 8:1; Democrats opposed it at a ratio of 3:1. Independents support the 5:3 recall of the governor. Those who had been partially or fully vaccinated against the coronavirus reluctantly recalled that 47% to 43%; for those who were not vaccinated, 18% of the likely voters supported the removal of Newsom by a 40% advantage. White voters voted to remove Newsom with a 56% advantage over 35% by 21 percentage points; Latinos voted to remove Newsom with a slight advantage of 47% to 41%. Black voters voted against Newsom with a 52-point advantage; Asians voted against it with a 37-point advantage. “Maybe” voters voted down, 43% versus 36%; “100% sure” voters broke Yes with a 3:2 vote.

The polls seem to have a certain degree of completeness in terms of methods, and it is worth seeing my colleague Scott Hounsell study in depth like him hereAlthough it is fun to watch polls, they are not predictors, but more thermometers: measuring the temperature of voters at a given time. The temperature may remain high, hot or cold all the time.

But now, voters are very hot: remove Gavin Newsom from office. However, some opinions in the polls are worrying.

Then, SurveyUSA asked potential voters which candidate they would vote for to replace Newsom. After excluding 11% of possible voters who said they would leave this question blank, the two candidates were ahead and came together very closely:

  • Democrat Kevin Paffrath, a YouTuber and real estate agent, received 27% of the substitute votes today. Pafrat received special support from young voters, Latinos, Democrats, and liberals, and led by 12:1 among those who opposed the removal of Newsom. Paffrath leads 2:1 in the Greater Los Angeles area and 35 points in the urban areas of the state.

  • Republican talk show host, lawyer and documentary filmmaker Larry Elder (Larry Elder) accounted for 23%. Elder performed strongly among older voters, Republicans, and conservative voters, leading 27% to 19% of independent voters. Elder led 2:1 in the Inland Empire and 30 points in rural California.

Only another nominated candidate broke double digits, the famous bear fan and Newson’s 2018 opponent John Cox, whose approval rating today is 10%.

The approval rate of black voters who are willing to keep Newsom is 52%. This is a sad comment on us. However, although many recall supporters have been saying that we must focus on reaching 50 +1 on “yes” that are irrelevant to question 1 or question 2 in the recall column, I think they are equally important. Whoever is on the vote and leads on question 2 will be the motivation for some voters to disdain voting at all, and then vote “yes” on question 1. If they see that Kevin Paffrath and Larry Elder are their two choices, they will stick to the devil they know, even if that devil does nothing to the community except appoint an affirmative action secretary of state and allow rampant crime to continue.

If you are a black Democrat, and all the language Larry Elder has said about “Democratic Plantation” and “victors” over the years, you will not give him a day. “White YouTuber Millennial Kevin Paffrath” is self-evident. Black Democrats will simply throw votes because they have no clear incentives or investments.

Other candidates not mentioned in this poll have a golden opportunity here. San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Congressman Kevin Kiley, former U.S. Congressman Doug Ose and others can strengthen their game in the coming days to suck out some voting groups and Asian groups, and they will also vote for retaining Newsom.

Since about two years ago, I have been involved in the recall. Every opponent on the left and the right said that what is happening now cannot be completed.

Well, they can go to pound the sand because it is happening. However, for those in combat, we must remain vigilant and constantly remind Californians why they must remove hairspray.
