Especially among young and middle-aged people, the number of people receiving the first vaccine may be more than the official record.
DIM is based on reports from vaccination centers, hospitals, mobile vaccination teams, and company doctors; according to RKI, it also includes data from residents and private doctors. Together they form the basis of the so-called vaccination dashboard. There is another RKI survey called Covimo whose vaccination rate is extrapolated from the survey.
According to the report, the latest Covimo survey of approximately 1,000 adults from the end of June to mid-July revealed a difference from DIM. It turns out that the number of people who have been vaccinated at least once is “much higher”, especially in the 18 to 59 age group: although according to the reporting system, 79% of people in the survey said they were vaccinated but 59%. The authors of the report wrote that the actual vaccination rate is likely to fall between the values of the two sources.
“However, in terms of the coverage of fully vaccinated people, there is no significant difference,” the report said. Experts also expect a certain degree of underreporting in such monitoring systems.
