Design and features

The design of Acekool MC1 is a typical design of a stand mixer. The mixing head is mounted on a base with tilting hinges. Everything is made of plastic, so the blender is very light; it needs a suction cup at the bottom to hold it in place. It doesn’t exactly feel cheap, but it doesn’t feel sturdy and durable either. My mixer is all black, with a silver stripe on the top, and silver controls, which looks a bit retro.
Installation and setup

The setup of the Acekool MC1 mixer is easy. First, I found a spot on the counter and pressed it lightly to activate the suction cup. Second, I put the dust cover on the top of the flat beater attachment, and then installed it on the beater shaft; this was done with the head tilted back. Third, I put the mixing bowl on the base and rotate it to the locked position. Fourth, I put the splash guard on the edge of the bowl. Finally, I raised the tilt level and lowered the mixer head to its standard operating position. It is ready!

which performed

The best feature of the Acekool MC1 blender is a 7.5 quart bowl. This larger-than-standard size allows me to mix more ingredients than usual without worrying about them spilling out. Three batches of chocolate chip cookies? Yes, please! It also comes with sturdy side handles for easy carrying of the bowl after mixing. Unfortunately, this bowl is also the worst feature of this mixer. Acekool did not seem to consider the higher size of the bowl when designing the height of the mixer and the angle of the tilting head. The attachment rotates once. When I close it, the attachment may stop close to the mixer arm, or it may stop further away. If it stops close to the mixer arm, when I try to tilt the mixer, the attachment will get stuck on the side of the bowl; I cannot tilt it all the way back or remove the bowl from the base. The solution is to lower the head again and quickly open and close the speed control several times until the attachment is rolled up from the mixing arm. Then it will come out. This is really frustrating, not to mention that the contents of the bowl have been scraped off. Acekool needs to bring it back to the drawing board and design a blender in which the accessories always come out of the bowl without hitting the sides.

When mixed, Acekool MC1 performed well. I found it has the ability to mix all the cookie dough, mash the mashed potatoes without turning them into cream, and the speed to beat the meringue into a beautiful chocolate pie.

With ten different speeds, I was able to precisely control the speed of mixing the ingredients. The splash guard prevents the flour in the cookie dough from splashing everywhere, which is a common problem for me. I am very satisfied with the results of its work.

After inserting Acekool MC1 and lowering the mixer head in place, the blue light indicating speed control starts to flash. And it keeps flashing. It never stops blinking. The mixer didn’t even turn on, it just sat there blinking. Can you imagine what my kitchen would look like if every appliance I own was constantly flashing bright lights? It’s like owning Chuck E Cheese Game Room at my house. Acekool seems to think this is a good safety feature-there is a sticker under the speed control that says: “Avoid any contact with movable parts when flashing-but in reality, this is just an annoyance.
what do I like
What will i change
- Delete that blinking light
- Redesign the tilt mechanism so that it will not get stuck on the bowl
Final thoughts
Acekool’s MC1 is a consumer-grade vertical mixer, and its price is someone’s first vertical mixer. It has ten speeds to control mixing, a very large mixing bowl with handles and three convenient accessories. In my tests, I found that it has enough power and speed to mix various ingredients of various recipes. However, the MC1 does have a design flaw. When the head is tilted back, the accessories often get stuck in the bowl. In addition, it also comes with an annoying blue ring light, which will not stop flashing until I tilt my head back or unplug the power plug. Although the ingredients of MC1 are well mixed, I really cannot recommend it due to these two issues.
