DThe city of Zwickau allowed the right-wing extremist split party “III. Remove the label “Hang the Greens!” The city government announced on Wednesday that the party should remove the poster within three days. If this does not happen, the city will delete the poster on its own. The reason given is that the slogan violates public order and human dignity.
Sebastian Lasch, head of the Regulatory Affairs Department, explained: “Anyone who hangs up such works should take them off themselves. However, if necessary, we will delete the posters!”
The Green Party has filed a complaint against the poster. The motivation is to openly invite criminal acts. However, the Zwickau prosecutor did not initiate an investigation because the poster did not constitute a request for a specific behavior. A spokeswoman said: “This is not a serious appeal to attack someone somewhere and some day.”
According to the Green Party, the “III. Weg” poster was also hung in northern Saxony, Vogtland and Leipzig. The complaint should also be made there.
The small party combined the critical slogan on the poster with its own green party color. On a smaller print, it reads on the theme: “Through poster advertisements in our party colors, let our national revolutionary movement be known in urban and rural areas!”
