Two sources familiar with the matter told CNN that US officials dealing with Afghan refugees in the United Arab Emirates recently wrote a diplomatic cable on this issue.
According to the CNN report, the telegram stated that some women and girls were forced to marry men on the evacuees list, or to leave Afghanistan with men pretending to be their husbands and arrive in the UAE.
