Health Minister Sajid Javid said on Tuesday that fully vaccinated people and children will no longer need to self-isolate after being in close contact with people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in England after August 16. Unless their test results are also positive.
“From August 16th…Anyone who has been in close contact with a positive case will no longer need to self-quarantine if they are fully vaccinated,” Javid told the parliament, adding that around that date the second shot People will have to wait two weeks.
“According to adult practices, anyone under the age of 18 who has been in close contact with a positive case will no longer need to self-isolate.”
