Have you studied critical racial theory?
If you are in the Air Force, you may be.
Via the Washington Post column- I am a professor at the U.S. Military Academy.This is why I teach critical race theory — Lynne Chandler Garcia, an associate professor at the Air Force Academy, said that the doctrine helps her students “recognize the structural racism and inequality that prevail in American society.”
In Lynn’s view, the foundation of this country is not as simple as traditionally presented:
The United States is built on duality: on the one hand liberalism and equal rights; on the other hand, inequality, inequality and second-class citizens.
Call it a difficult start:
Racism has been ingrained in the system from the beginning…
Therefore, “the military is still working hard to solve these problems.”
It is true.
Just like me cover In February, the U.S. Navy added “anti-racism” books to its official reading list.

Four of the 16 books listed in the Personal and Leadership Development section discuss topics such as anti-racism, the criminal justice system, and gender politics.Their titles include Ibram X. Kendi’s bestseller How to be an anti-racist, New Jim Crow, Sexual minorities and politics, with Enough: emotional labor, women and the way forward. Kendy’s book in particular caused great controversy, and many of its ideas spread from university campuses to public health agencies and public sector unions.
You may remember that General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was recently questioned about this matter.
He replied that he wanted to understand “white anger”:
I am proud of my time in the military, and General Milli’s view of things is very similar to what I did and did.

In contrast, Utah Republican Rep. Chris Stewart tell Free Beacon CRT “has absolutely no place in our army”.
“Our foreign opponents, whether it is Russia or China, are getting stronger and stronger every day. The focus of our army should be single: preparing for battle; preparing for mission.”
The mission may have changed.

Especially for the Air Force, in order to solve the obstacles that hinder pilots and space force guardians, this branch Assembly The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer/Questioning Initiative Team (also known as LIT) was established in April.
Also created: Indigenous Peoples Equality Group, or INET.
Five other identity groups were previously established:
- Black/African American Employment Strategy Team
- Disability Action Group
- Hispanic Empowerment and Action Team
- Pacific Islander/Asian American Community Team
- Women’s Initiative Group
As far as I know, these days are gone forever Humanity Race is overwhelmingly emphasized.

[A]Although the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution support freedom and justice, the enslaved people do not have these virtues and there is no reason to celebrate a day like July 4. …As the recent Inspector General’s report on the gap between the Air Force and the Space Force pointed out, black service personnel lag behind their white counterparts in terms of promotion rate, but account for an excessively high percentage of disciplinary actions. In addition, a recent report from the Department of Defense documents the threat of white supremacy. Participants need to understand these contradictions within their organization.
“Military officers,” she argued, “must understand the unique experiences and concerns of their different units. Holistic education will lead to understanding and unity, because service personnel will consider what it’s like to walk in other people’s shoes.”
Bottom line:
Students must learn to be brave on the real battlefield, yes-but they must also be prepared to bravely participate in the battlefield of thought.
Senator Mike Waltz (R-Fla.) has a different view, and Beacon:
“Critical racial theory is labeling entire groups of people in one way or another through their skin color and viewing them through this lens. Once the uniform is put on, we should do everything we can to minimize these differences.”
As far as I know, minimization may require waiting.
