HThis is a very fresh, interesting and gentle film created by director and co-author Guillaume Brac. It takes very seriously what is always overlooked or patronized in popular culture: holiday romance. The French title is À L’Abordage! , More appropriately translated as “Attack!” This movie is about seizing the time, offensive and wealth in favor of bold people.
Newcomer Eric Nantchouang plays Félix, an easy-going Parisian guy with a natural smile; he and Alma (Asma Messaoudene) had a time when she said that she was going to the beautiful southeast with her parents and sister On vacation in Die Valley France, Félix secretly decided to go there in person and give her something he has confidence in. This will be a wonderful romantic surprise. But he took his friend Salif Cissé as moral support and used the ride-sharing app, and they tricked the neurotic young Edward (Édouard Sulpice) into driving them there in his mother’s car. It soon became obvious that Alma had quite complicated feelings about seeing Felix again unexpectedly. At the same time, Félix and Chérif become partners with the grumpy Édouard. It seems that the humble Chérif has feelings for Héléna (Anna Blagojevic), a single mother he met in the camp.
This movie feels like a 21st century version of Éric Rohmer, mixed with photo-like romance and a little weird continuing camping. It moves with a seemingly relaxed swing, it seems that it has never tried very hard, covers a large number of narrative foundations, introduces a large number of characters, let us know them very well and created many very interesting and fascinating scenes. Brac and his Co-author Catherine Paillé and their very young actors gave us a treat.
