“Alt-right” domain name registrar was hacked and reportedly anonymized domain name owners

Epik is an Internet service company that provides hosting and domain name services for right-wing websites such as Parler, Gab, and the recently infamous Texas abortion informer website. Hacked this week, customer data leaked.

In the press release about the hacking, called “EPIK FAIL operation”, the anonymizer claimed that it was able to obtain “ten-year value” information, including domain name registration and transfer, account credentials, and emails from Epik employees. “This data set is all needed to track the actual ownership and management of Internet fascism. Researchers, activists, and almost everyone have escaped this,” the press release said.

This kind of thing seems to be a model in the right-wing alternative ecosystem of mainstream Internet services and platforms. If it’s fair to say that they may be attacked more consistently than most suppliers, there is also an unfortunate quality of public communication (‘Epik spokesperson claimed that the company was “not aware of any violations.”) which shows that they didn’t know what should I do.
