Obviously, it makes more sense to opt for these larger bikes if you plan to go off-road and use these more for leisure rather than commuting.
However, I think they are also good options for commuting.
I may be biased when I use a road bike for fitness, but the larger frame and wheels allow for a more comfortable position for long rides. As a taller rider, I found it more comfortable to pedal and easier to ride without using any assist features.
For me, if I’m commuting by bike directly from home and storage space at home is not an issue, I’d go for one of these full-size bikes.
Foldable bikes are obviously ideal if you need to fit your bike into your car while taking public transportation. They can also be stored more easily at home.
The best hybrid city and mountain electric bikes on Amazon
Over time, I’ll write some guides, and I’ve covered foldable bikes on Amazon.
Similar to my last guide, my logic is that bikes are more affordable on Amazon, and you still keep Amazon’s customer support. China has a lot of great bikes, but things can get tricky if you import your bikes from international sites and have support issues.
When you look up buying guides on Google, many websites recommend big brands. These are certainly excellent options, but if you’re looking for an affordable commuter solution to keep your rising gas costs down, spending a few bucks on an e-bike may not be possible.

This is one of the best rated options I could find. It’s an ideal commuter design that includes fenders and a pannier. It has a 7-speed Shimano gearset followed by 6 different assist levels from 0-5.

ESKUTE is clearly a well-regarded e-bike band. The Voyager is designed for MTB use, and despite having a lockable front shock, it should commute well on the road. Included accessories include lights and fenders, and it looks like some users have also installed third-party panniers.

This is a little serious for mountain biking. You have a 21-speed Shimano gearset. They claim a range of up to 150km, but I doubt that’s realistic if you’re using moderate assist.
You can even pair it with an app on your phone, which will give you battery and odometer data

There are a few mixed reviews on this, but it’s one of the more affordable options on Amazon. It looks like you need to make sure the bike is intact. You get a 7-speed Shimano gearset and 3-level assist.

I’m not a fan of the wheel design, but it’s well-reviewed and reasonably priced. You get 21 gears of 5-level pure electric and 5-level electric assist. Then you have an impressive 85km range, and it even includes fenders and a pannier, making it a versatile option.

This city bike has some good reviews, but the £70 shipping is a bit annoying. It has a 6-speed gearset with pedal assist and all-electric. As you’d expect from an urban bike, this includes a piggyback and fenders.
