“Don’t California my Texas” has been a popular phrase among Texans for some time. Over the years, we have seen people from New York and California in Lone Star State fleeing to our greener pastures. Although we like the fact that we have such an attractive atmosphere, companies and people want to come, but we are worried about people Will forget why they came here in the first place.
There is no state tax in Texas and the cost of living is lower. In a nice neighborhood outside of Dallas, a three-bedroom house is many times cheaper than a two-bedroom house in Los Angeles. We like this approach, the last thing we want is for people to come in from out of the state and mess up by voting to destroy their previous homeland policy.
However, despite the constant influx of people from the blue coastal states, Texas still maintains a deep red color. It seems that many people have indeed learned their lesson and have not fallen for what they bought from the Democratic Party in the past. These former Democrats now seem to be voting for Republicans.
This is bad news for the left…but it will get worse.
It seems that even Democratic officials are switching parties and becoming Republicans.As pointed out TexanRep. Ryan Gillen of Rio Grande announced that he had reached an agreement with the Democratic Party and replaced “D” with “R”:
“Something is happening in southern Texas. Many of us are aware that the values of Washington, DC are not our values in South Texas,” Gillen said in the announcement. “I am proud to continue to vote my way, not against my party.”
Next to Gillen are some senior Republican officials in the state, such as Governor Greg Abbott, Speaker Dade Ferran (R-Beaumont) and Texas Republican Party Chairman Matt Rinaldi .
Gillen has acted quite mildly at the beginning. Some more radical Democrats will say that he is already a Republican, but the truth is that he is not.
This should scare the Democrats, and it should be seen as a continuous model, which is becoming more and more right in them. Virginia has changed from a Democratic country to a Republican country, thanks in large part to the same mentality that Gillen mentioned in his speech. The left has fallen into radicalism and is out of touch with the people.
Matt Renaldi, chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, also mentioned this.
“Following the Republican Party’s HD 118 victory in Virginia and Texas this month, this is how the Democratic Party’s growing extremism alienates Texas that cares about small governments, strong families, safe communities, and protection of the unborn. Another example of people. These people have a home in our party,” he said in Gillen’s announcement.
This makes Texas further away from the Democrats, especially considering that the two traditional Democratic strongholds in Texas have recently become Republicans, including McAllen County Stahl County and Zapata County.
Obviously, the Democrats have made no progress in Texas. Even Beto O’Rourke, a challenger to the governor of the state, proves that the Democrats are eager to find any foothold they can find.
