My Nguyen
Last week, the AAPI Victory Fund announced their latest support for the upcoming midterm elections: Bee Nguyen’s bid for Georgia Secretary of State.
Nguyen made history by becoming the first Vietnamese-American member to be elected to the Georgia General Assembly in 2017.
This year, if elected, Nguyen could make history again as Georgia’s first AAPI secretary of state.
“Nguyen has gained valuable mentoring experience through the local nonprofit she founded to educate and empower young women,” said Brad Jenkins, president and CEO of the AAPI Victory Fund, and which she has developed in the Georgia public school system. She has spent ten years learning first-hand about organizing and making a difference in her community…As Secretary of State, we have no doubt that Representative Nguyen will position Georgia as a leader in our nation’s voting rights.”
