Mom has started desperate appeal After she claimed that her teenage son was “paralyzed and awaiting death” after being hit off a bicycle in a hit and run, she wanted to know more.
The 18-year-old was riding a bicycle along the junction of Penhill Road and The Rise. Bexley When he was shot at around 8.30pm on November 5th.
His mother wrote an impassioned request on Facebook.
She said: “To the man who hit my son with his car and let him die. You broke our hearts. My son can’t walk or take care of his personal hygiene. Seeing him like this broke our heart.
“I am very sad, very sad, you will never understand the pain you brought us, but he is still alive, he is very strong, and we will fight for justice for him.
“Please if anyone has any footage of the incident, or if you know the person who did this, please help us get justice for our son, or if you have a conscience, please come forward.
“You hurt him and us. As a mother, I feel very helpless. He is a smart, funny, helpful, and caring boy, and you have completely destroyed him. Please, please, someone must know something. “
The police said that the car involved took off from the scene but was found by the police shortly afterwards.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and failed to stop at the scene of the collision. He has been released on bail and is awaiting further investigation, dated early December.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 8:28pm on November 5 to report a road traffic collision involving cars and cyclists at The Rise in Bexley.
“We sent an ambulance crew. They treated a teenager with a back injury at the scene and took him to the hospital.”
