Bloomberg’s Orwellian Spin Why those empty shelves are a good thing – RedState

I have always been surprised how many media will put their credibility under the bus on behalf of the Democratic Party.

Due to all the problems under the leadership of Joe Biden, the media has been in panic and has to defend all kinds of unreasonable things.

Today’s admission?Bloomberg tries to spin #EmptyShelvesJoeYou see, the shelves are empty and you can’t buy what you need, which is really not a bad thing (or they are much higher than Joe Biden’s previous price). Because of that, we can live more like Europeans and learn to reduce our expectations.

Views from Bloomberg:

But suddenly, Americans can no longer spend money like they used to. Store shelves are being emptied, and it may take several months to find a car, refrigerator or sofa. If this situation continues, we may need to learn to do nothing-and, terribly, we have to live like Europeans. This may not actually be a bad thing, because if the dependence on consumption is reduced, the US economy may be healthier.

For now, I will put aside the question of whether this is an accurate assessment of the current situation in Europe, or whether it is a question of the health of mass consumption.

What’s totally absurd here are the two bigger points they are trying to slip away from us.

Why should we be ignorant of what Europe is doing? We are the United States of America, the greatest country on earth. We will not judge ourselves based on others, nor will we try to imitate others. Or to use the more nasty words of Eric Cartman of South Park, we “do what we like to do.” This is not wrong. No matter how much the left wants us to become more like socialist Europe, our freedom to do so is actually a good thing.

Another potential reason is that some people in Europe do not have greater freedom to buy what they might want: Heavy taxes In some countries, this has reduced their disposable income. But we will note that Biden also wants us to follow them in this regard and raise our top tax rate to compete with them or Surpass them.

But in addition, Bloomberg put forward the argument of “healthier consumption” at this time, which is quite interesting. Why is this happening? What does this have to do with trying to reverse Biden’s catastrophic failure-inflation and supply chain crises? Of course there is, nothing more.

It is so transparent that they will feel embarrassed by doing so. This is the continuous effort of the media to blame Americans, not Biden or epidemic laws, because of their role in all this. Not to mention how Orwellian this is. They argued that it was good for you to be rejected. Out of stock is actually good. You just need to understand it. If you are bothered by all this, it is just your ignorance. They try to make you have less and get worse under Biden’s leadership.

Bloomberg was right to be torn to pieces on social media for this.

So, that’s how it is. If this is what the media and Democrats are trying to sell to people as we enter the 2022 election, then be prepared to let the Democrats ignore it—because you are not selling this argument to Americans.
