review – I remember the days when I paid a fortune for a 5.1 surround sound system. It consists of 2 relatively large left and right front speakers, a center channel speaker, 2 rear speakers and a subwoofer. These connections also mean that there will be a ton of wires everywhere. Today, a simple soundbar with good built-in speakers and a good design can simulate a similar sound and replace all the bulky, expensive speakers and unsightly wires. This review applies to the Bomaker Odine V soundbar. Let’s see if it meets today’s demand for great home theater sound in a small package.

The Bomaker Odine V Soundbar features a bullet-shaped shape with a grille across the front and mounting brackets and ports on the back. Ports include HDMI ARC port, optical port, USB port and auxiliary port. The power switch and AC port are also on the back.
A fully functional remote control is also included.
Performance
Connecting the Bomaker Odine V Soundbar to your TV is easy. I used the optical port on the TV I used for testing. If your TV has an HDMI ARC port, you can use it. ARC uses an HDMI cable to send audio from the TV back to the receiver or soundbar. You can also use RCA audio cables if your TV has these ports.
After connecting the optical cable to the TV, you can see the light on the other end of the optical cable. I plug it into the optical port on the speaker.
There is an LED under the front grille. Once powered on, you can choose between 3 inputs: ARC, AUX, Opt.
As I mentioned before, the Bomaker Odine V Soundbar is very easy to hook up. Once it’s properly connected (based on the connection options on your TV), you’re ready to go. For my tests, I tested the sound modes provided by the relevant program. This includes sports (mainly football), music videos, TV shows, action movies, etc. In most cases, the corresponding sound mode is the preferred sound for that type of program. At times, the sound of a movie seems to be a good fit for certain sports. Bass isn’t bad considering the driver’s small size, but IMHO really needs a subwoofer to complete the audio experience. I think my least favorite experience was listening to music videos with this soundbar. Since I’m an audiophile, this might be a little unfair to me, and since I don’t use this type of speaker very often, it’s not a deal breaker. The built-in wall mount is a nice design feature, but I didn’t have speakers installed. It’s more convenient for me to place it directly in front of the TV below the bottom of the screen.
Overall, the Bomaker Odine V Soundbar offers decent sound, and IMHO it’s worth the price.

Overall, the Bomaker Odine V Soundbar is a great speaker for adding more dimensional sound to your TV to create surround sound home theater speakers, and the sound modes allow you to tailor the sound to the type of show you’re watching. Volume is adequate, but there isn’t even a subwoofer port to connect a subwoofer, IMHO. Anyway, it’s a good option.
