A few days ago, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and the American lawn dwarf, Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, discussed Fauci’s role in developing a virus that looks like a Wuhan bioengineering virus. The characters had a very public quarrel. My colleague Bunch reported on the hearing in this article, Fauci furious at Rand Paul for being held back by Wuhan laboratory funding. My opinion on it can be found in Fauci collapsed after Senator Rand Paul warned him that it was a crime to lie to Congress. If you haven’t watched the video, here it is.
The White House and the media tried to describe it as a victory for Fauci, but only the most naive intellectuals could not see the evasiveness and almost panic that Fauci had been summoned because of his direct responsibility for global problems. A pandemic (or a biological weapon attack, if the virus proves to be designed at the Wuhan Institute of Virology). Soon after the hearing, this close-up of Fauci’s hand began to patrol around. This is not the physiological response of a confident person or someone who thinks he has won an argument. This is the essence of the fight-flee-hide response.

Although many common suspects are imitating Fauci’s prevarication, the Washington Post agrees with our views on Fauci’s performance. This is Josh Rogin (full disclosure, I’m not Rokin Fans, once, I was blocked by him on Twitter) and posted on the headline What exactly is the fight between Anthony Fauci and Rand Paul about.
Rokin destroyed Fauci, calling him a scarecrow, and pointed out that he had manipulated the precise language of the study of “function gain” by legalistic manipulation, and never solved Paul’s problem.
My RedState colleague Scott Hounsell did some excellent research work and recorded the financial connection from Fauci to the EcoHealth Alliance and revealed the email that EcoHealth would like to thank Fauci for helping them. (Look here, here, and here.)
This is what Luo Jin had to say:
Fauci also told Paul that the research in the paper Paul cited could not directly cause the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but Paul correctly called it a scarecrow. This particular project is only one part of the multi-agency efforts of the US government. Over the years, these efforts have injected US funds and expertise into these Wuhan laboratories through the Eco-Health Alliance (including NIH, U.S. Agency for International Development, and the Pentagon). According to the intelligence fact sheet issued by the Trump administration and partially confirmed by the Biden administration, WIV accepted our help and used it to build another secret part of the laboratory, where they cooperated with the Chinese military.
Congress and the media do not review the decisions of Fauci and others that led to this cooperation. However, Fauci did not respond with an open and transparent attitude, but kept pouring cold water on the laboratory leak theory. Currently, the National Institutes of Health and other government agencies are ignoring Congress’ requests to provide more information about their relationship with these Chinese laboratories.
This is important now, because the World Health Organization is starting a second attempt to investigate the origin of the outbreak, this time including calls to investigate laboratories. At the same time, the Chinese government insists that it will never allow a real investigation of the Wuhan laboratory. The US government will take the lead in putting pressure on Beijing to play football.
Looking ahead, we must question whether the US government’s investment in this high-risk research, especially its cooperation with China, is worth taking on these risks. Of course, the current plan to spend 1.2 billion US dollars to substantially expand the name of the “Global Virus Project” is to unearth dangerous viruses and conduct experiments on them in laboratories, including Chinese laboratories, which must be thoroughly re-examined.
This ultimately has nothing to do with the acquisition of Fauci or Paul or even functional research. This is about understanding the truth about how this pandemic started so that we can adjust our policies to prevent the next pandemic. This means avoiding politics, not semantically quibbling, and advancing without prejudice or preconceptions. This is an urgent issue related to our national security and public health.
All of this is true, but Rogin has lightly stepped on the stakes here.
Our leading scientific research organization, with a full understanding of its leadership, directly or indirectly provides funds to the biological weapons laboratory operated by the Chinese military. I don’t care. A virus from the laboratory appeared to have been produced through the same type of research funded by Frankenstein and Igor, and it was released to the world. Everything about China’s actions shows that they have malicious in terms of what they did (pre-release to test the Western response) or failing to do so (warning of the world’s accidental release). The only reason Fauci can reasonably fund Chinese military laboratories is because he knows they can conduct experiments in environments that the Western world will never allow. And his anger convulsions at the hearing was because he knew everything was about to happen.
Yes, in any case, we must understand how this happened. But in order for this to be more than just a useless fact, we must hold everyone involved in funding and approving this reckless research to personal responsibility. If an ordinary citizen from the heartland walks into the U.S. Capitol after being beckoned by the Capitol and can be quarantined alone for six months, then we must ensure that treatment is at least as severe as those who caused the global pandemic and killed millions of people .
