“The Trump administration has passed more regulations and more sanctions, which basically cut off all income into Cuba,” claimed CBS News Producer Portia Sigelbaum. “I think the Biden administration said at least at the beginning that he would review this policy and make changes, but nothing happened.” It is worth noting that the producer is “from Cuba.” I understand, and obviously absorbed all the publicity.
Not only did CBS try to blame Trump, but they were either too ignorant to realize that lifting the sanctions would help the government that the people opposed, or they wanted to help the Communist government. Because sanctions have nothing to do with harming humanitarian aid to the people.
The people are not shouting “removal of sanctions”, but shouting “freedom” and “overthrowing dictatorship.” In the past 62 years, the Cuban economy has collapsed due to the Communist government. This has nothing to do with Trump.
