Review -When I buy a new home, one of the “must have” upgrades on my list is the garage door opener. I know that I often enter my garage for many reasons and it would be painful to open and close the door manually every time. My thoughts on garage door openers did not stop there. I receive packages from Amazon every week, and I hate the fact that opening the front door will find an exposed box on the steps, and is in “ready mode” for use by any package robber. I have been reading Amazon garage key delivery through the myQ app, so this is a mandatory feature of any garage door opener I will install. As shown in the picture below, this garage opener looks like a normal size garage opener with built-in lights on both sides and a drop-down camera in the middle. There is a removable backup battery.

Chamberlain provided the garage door opener for this review, and they also provided and paid for the installation of the supplier of their choice. The company that emerged is Precision Door Service, and I must say that this service is true professionalism and excellent customer service. The waiter was polite, friendly, and patiently answering my questions, and did his best to ensure that any problems that existed before my garage door were corrected and ensured safety.
Before getting this amazing opportunity from Chamberlain, I bought a garage door opener on the market and I asked my handyman how long it would take to install it. His reaction was almost a whole day. Precision’s maintenance staff completed it in about 90 minutes, and his work was neat and complete.
The garage door opener has an LED touchpad installed inside the garage and a button keyboard installed outside the garage. It also comes with 2 car remotes that I have never used, because my driveway can hold about 5 cars, and like many people in Long Island, New York, we never park our cars in the garage. It is more suitable for storage/workshop use. Just enter the password and press the “enter” button to operate the external door keyboard. Writing code is very easy.
The touchpad in the garage is hard-wired to control doors and other functions, including setting up an opener to work with the myQ app. This includes adding it to your home network to access the Internet. The whole process is very simple. The car remote has been paired with the bottle opener.

The myQ app is not only used by Amazon delivery drivers, but I also use it to open and close the garage without using any keyboard. If anyone I know besides Amazon leaves the package, this is a great feature. I can open and close the garage remotely, let them leave the package there, and make sure it is safe. I can also set a temporary password for “guest” use. There are other functions in this application. Here are some snapshots:
This is a video of the garage door movement. My phone’s microphone is very sensitive, so it sounds much louder than it actually is. It is actually very quiet.

- More like a wish: I hope that more courier companies, such as UPS and FedEx, can use an application with the same function to sign a key delivery service in the garage similar to the myQ application.
Final thoughts
I really like this garage door opener. It is very quiet and works without any problems. The myQ application gives me complete peace of mind in terms of Amazon delivery, and more importantly, because I can see the delivery in real time, and the entire event from the door opening to the complete closing is recorded. The lights on the corkscrew are very bright, and in most cases they are enough for me to see without having to turn on the actual garage lights. Chamberlain has been professional and responsive throughout the process. IMHO, this opening remark is “well done, two thumbs up”!
