review – My husband and I both have iPhones. We have multiple charging cables and two wireless charging pads in our house to charge our phones and watches right next to our beds. I usually get into the habit of leaving my phone on a wireless charger overnight. Yes, I know, don’t teach me to charge my phone or watch too much. My phone is almost two years old now and has no issues with battery power. The problem I have is that sometimes I forget to charge the phone overnight. That means I have to move my wireless charger to my home office or find a cord and somewhere to plug it into my desk to charge my phone. It would be great to have a charger in my office that doesn’t take up precious desk space or use any wall sockets or USB ports. That’s why I chose to review the Choetech Invisible Wireless Charger. Let’s see how it works for me.
what is it?
The Choetech Invisible Wireless Charger (hereinafter referred to as the charger) is a wireless charger installed under a non-metallic desktop with a thickness of 15mm – 30mm. It lets you charge your phone on your desk while the charger itself mounts under the desk.

What’s in the box?

- 3M type double-sided sticky pad
- Charging tray – don’t know what to call it. They didn’t name me.
- charging pad
- Indicator panel with LED lights
- power cable
- The two very small screws are not shown in the picture. I almost missed them in the packaging.
Hardware Specifications
- Suitable for 15mm – 30mm thick tables. It cannot be a metal table.
- 10W charging for Samsung Note 9+ and S8+
- 7.5 watts for iPhone 8 and later
- 5 watts for other QI devices – AirPods, Pixel Buds, Galaxy buds
set up
Setting up the Choetech Invisible Wireless Charger isn’t difficult. First, I had to find a place on my desk to mount it where I could also connect the power cord to the plug. I also had to make sure there were no metal support beams where I wanted to mount it. My table top is made of glass and only 10mm thick. I found a good place for it. The image below shows you the two sections that will appear on the desktop. First, the metal pan will be installed, then a white sticker will be placed on top of the metal pan.

I mounted the metal pan in the lower right corner of the desk on the left. This table holds my printer and personal laptop. As I said before, this table has a glass top. I have my work computer and two 27″ monitors on my main desk with a piece of wood on it that is too thick for the charger to work.

The next picture shows you the bottom of the Choetech Invisible Wireless Charger. It can be seen that it has vents and holes at positions 12 and 6 of the charger. These are where you put the screws to mount the device. Since I installed on glass, I used the 3M disk provided.

Before attaching the charger to the bottom of the table, I used the tester provided to make sure it was properly aligned with the metal plate on top. When I moved the charger around the bottom of the table, various LEDs lighted up on the tester. When I get it perfectly aligned, all the LEDs blink once and then individually light up as circles in the animation. In the image below, you can see that the charger is perfectly aligned with the metal plate because all the LEDs are on.

Performance
In the image below, you can see my phone is on the Choetech Invisible Wireless Charger and is charging. It’s only 7.5 watts, so it doesn’t offer any fast charging. However, it keeps my phone alive and charging while I work. It also doesn’t take up any desktop space that I like. I found it could also be charged via the thick leather case around the phone.
what do I like
- Does not take up desktop space.
- They provide this cool tester so you can make sure the charger and metal plate are perfectly aligned.
- You can install it with tape or screws
- It works with any QI device.
Areas for improvement
- I wish it could offer fast charging.
final thoughts
I’ve used the Choetech Invisible Wireless Charger a few times now and really enjoy using it in my home office. I like that it doesn’t take up any desktop space. I think it’s a handy device if someone needs to charge or charge their phone occasionally.
