Review – From the first day I set up my home office/studio, I have been seeking as much automation as possible and using as many device desktops as possible that can be voice-controlled via Alexa and Echo Show 8 devices. I recently installed and tested a new air conditioner, so I am very happy to be able to test and review the Cielo Breez smart air conditioner controller.

Cielo Breez Smart Air Conditioner Controller is a smart thermostat suitable for mini split type, window type and portable air conditioners. It is compatible with Alexa, Google, Siri, SmartThings, and supports iOS and Android applications. It also has built-in temperature and humidity sensors.

which performed
The main job of making the Cielo Breez smart air conditioner controller work is to connect it to your network. Otherwise, once you point to it and press the power button for a few seconds, it will learn the existing remote control quickly and simply. It should be noted that the existing remote control must be an infrared remote control.
After downloading and installing the app (IOS in my case), you can follow the setup instructions to connect the device to your network. It should also be noted that this device can be used to operate your air conditioner or other such devices without internet access. Internet access is used for remote access through apps and devices such as Alexa.
It is also important to note that it is easy to connect the Cielo Breez smart air conditioner controller to a simple network with only a modem and router. In my case, I have multiple network extenders. Eventually, after I couldn’t successfully connect the controller to my network, I called their technical support and was told that I needed to disconnect all extenders from the network. Connect, leaving only the main router connected. After that, I was able to connect successfully.

I installed mine on the wall in front of my desk, in the direct line of sight of the air conditioner. Line of sight is also a requirement.

What will i change
- I can’t think of anything big for the time being. I want it to be able to connect to complex networks without disconnecting all network extenders. This can be very disruptive, especially considering the 60+ wireless devices connected to my network.
Final thoughts
To be honest, I am very satisfied with this Cielo AC controller. Although I know that it can control more than AC, but for my testing and use, my new AC is the goal. Apart from the need to disconnect any and all network extenders to successfully connect it to the Internet, its setup is simple and it works well. Its display is large enough that you can see it from the other side of my room, and the function of the app and the use of it with Alexa are great! ! IMHO, I did a great job, two thumbs up! !
