Instead, it’s a raging brown river full of gravel that runs higher than even the height of the spring mud season. If you’ve watched the news this week, you probably know what’s going on in Vermont.
Catastrophic flooding occurred across the state. We are doing fine at home in Woodstock, we are still on boil water alert but many places are not. Some businesses in the town were destroyed by the storm. Some communities took years to recover.Community and country have come together, but this week is a reminder No one and no place is immune to the effects of a warming planet.
I wish you a nice weekend. Hopefully some sunshine and a little less precipitation for those of us who need respite.
