In recent years, many conservatives have been worried about the landslide that has gained a lot of grease.
“Women” can have penis. “Men” can have children.Pregnant moms “Pregnant Woman”. The vagina is “Front Hole” The surgery to remove the sex organs is “gender confirmation surgery”. Parents are “family terrorists”
In California, the manipulation of language has reached a climax. The homeless are “homeless” and the criminals are “Individuals involved in justice.”
Up and down, the sky is green.
The reasoning behind these changes in language that has been recognized for thousands of years-I use the word very loosely-is not that humans are flawed, sometimes perverted or dangerous. It is the labels we put on these people that drive them to do wrong or make them feel sad, sad, or depressed. If we can give them more understanding and acceptance, we can completely eliminate the suicides, crimes and illegal behaviors that plague society.
The only reason terrorists want to kill is because people call them despicable things, or they are mean to their religion, race, or tradition, which pushes them to extremes. So…Islam is a religion of peace. Wash, rinse, repeat.
In a recent clueless attempt to reform human nature, the Colorado Sex Offenders Management Committee voted to replace the term “sex offenders” when referring to offenders convicted of sex crimes they have handled.
Denver (CBS4)– In Colorado, the way sex offenders are labeled is changing. The committee that sets the state standards voted today to change the term “sex offender” to reflect the so-called “people-oriented” language.
The Sex Offender Management Committee is made up of everyone from public defenders to prosecutors and sets standards and guidelines for treatment providers, so the new term will only be used in this context. It will not change the law or the term sex offender in the criminal justice system, but some people worry that this is a step in this direction.
A man registered on the list of “sex offenders” said that he believes it is unfair to put this harsh label on his entire life.
Derek Logue said he shouldn’t be labelled for life, “it is inappropriate to call me the label of something I have done half a lifetime ago, and it is a total offense.”
He thinks “customer” is a better word.
Public defender Kathy Heffron agreed, “It takes into account the uniqueness of the individual being treated.”
Those who are in favor of changing the wording believe that doing so will reduce the rate of recidivism. This must be the craziest argument ever made in the name of criminal rehabilitation. If we simply change the meaning of this term to a better term like “people who terminate their lives continuously”, will serial killers stop killing people?
Of course, victims of sex offenders have different views on this matter.
As a rape survivor, Kimberly Corbin is one of those who oppose changing the term sex offenders to less stigmatizing, saying that labeling based on characteristics that people have no control over is one thing “This is very, very harmful to those who are labeled. When it is related to gender, race, sexual orientation, ability, but these are not their choices, the most important thing for me is that these are sex offenders. The choice made.”
The board of directors finally voted to replace the current language with “adults guilty of sexual offences” with an advantage of 10 to 6.
Insert the eyeball rolling gif here.
“I think this strikes a balance of respecting the impact on the victim while acknowledging the current and ongoing impact of sexual assault, but also avoiding labelling terms that negatively affect sex offenders.”
Jessica Dotter of the Colorado District Attorney’s Council is concerned that this change will not end with the Sex Offender Management Committee. Experience victims”
Obviously, Colorado lawmakers had previously tried to remove the term “violent sex offenders” from the regulations, but eventually abandoned this effort.
In the sad and ironic transition of liberal madness, the Sex Offenders’ Management Committee voted to change the language used to describe sex offenders, but the “sex offenders” could not be deleted from their own names, because this is a problem that can only be determined by legislature.
What a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People!
