2021 Black Friday Sale
Both Eufy and Blink have some great Black Friday deals, so this is the best time to buy either system.
eufyCam 2C dropped from 230 pounds to 140 pounds, which seems to be the lowest price ever for Amazon.
eufyCam 2C Pro increased the camera resolution to 2K, from £300 to £210, the lowest ever.
For Blink, they no longer list Blink XT2, you only have indoor or outdoor.
Blink Outdoor dropped from 90 pounds to a low price of only 50 pounds.
If you need more cameras, you can save even more. The 2-piece indoor or outdoor camera dropped from £155 to just £80.
These are newer cameras that have only been launched on Amazon for more than a year. According to Keepa, they have all dropped to their lowest prices ever.
Comparison of eufyCam 2C and Blink XT2
this eufyCam 2C Recently, it has been one of my favorite wireless cameras, and I continue to use it personally.
Original Flash XT Is my long-time favorite cheap camera, last year Flash XT2 Introduced an improved installation mechanism that provides superior battery life.
So how do these two economical options compare?
Price
The prices of both products are jumping up and down. As eufyCam 2C comes in two packs, I will compare the two packs of Blink XT2.
The RRP of Blink XT2 seems to be £179.99, which is also the current priceDuring the Black Friday/Christmas period, it has dropped to 134.99 pounds, usually around 140 pounds.Additional camera sales between £71.99 and £89.99.
The suggested retail price of eufyCam 2C is £249.99, but it often costs £199.99. Currently £189.99. Additional camera sales between £69.99 and £89.99.
If you don’t mind waiting a little longer, you can usually pick up the goods from Amazon France or Spain at a lower price.
Video camera
eufyCam 2C is the clear winner. It has an excellent field of view and can choose to record with color night vision with the aid of a spotlight.
eufyCam 2C
- 1080p
- 135° diagonal field of view
- spotlight
- Color night vision option (or black and white in very low light)
Flash XT2
- 1080p
- 110° field of view
- Black and white night vision with infrared light
Storage options and long-term pricing

eufyCam also won the storage. The 16GB local storage should be better than the 7200 seconds provided by Blink. You will eventually be able to upgrade the storage via USB, and you have a cloud plan that provides 30 days of 10 camera recording at a price of $9.99pcm/$99pcm.you can also Log to NAS (There are some restrictions).
eufyCam 2C
- 16GB eMMC local storage, about 3 months of recording
- Optional cloud recording
- Can choose to record to NAS or NVR
- 5 – 120 second clip
Flash XT2
- Free cloud recording (I think 7200 seconds or 12GB is free)
- No local storage option
- No paid option
- 5 – 60 second clip
Motion detection
Again, eufyCam wins here; human detection is orders of magnitude better than standard motion detection, regardless of whether it is partitioned or not.
eufyCam 2C
- AI human detection and face highlighting
- Partition motion detection
Flash XT2
Battery
Although the performance of eufyCam is better than options such as Arlo, I am not sure if there are any other cameras that can provide a battery life closer to 2 years than Blink XT2. eufyCam 2 will be the best choice for a 1-year battery, but it is much more expensive.
eufyCam 2C
- Estimated 180-day usage
- Rechargeable battery with microUSB
Flash XT2
- 2 AA batteries
- Charge for 2 years based on usage
- Option USB power supply (but not waterproof)
Scalability
Eufy has a floodlight camera and a doorbell camera, neither of them use a hub, but they will be integrated in the Eufy application, avoiding you to install multiple applications for different camera products.
Blink XT can be used with IFTTT, so you can use it with other smart home products.
eufyCam 2C
- Future options for upgrading storage via USB
- Floodlight camera (work independently, no hub required)
- More expensive eufyCam 2 model with 365-day battery
- Doorbell camera (can work independently without a hub)
Flash XT2
Other features
The IFTTT function of Blink XT2 is a good addition, you can improve safety by turning on the lights during motion detection and various other smart home tasks.
eufyCam 2C
- Two-way audio
- AES-128 data encryption
- IP67 weatherproof rating
- Collaborate with Alexa
Flash XT2
- Works with IFTTT and Alexa
- Two-way audio
- Withstand various factors (but no specific IP rating)
overall
Both systems are great, but in my opinion, I prefer what eufyCam 2C provides. Human detection is a big winner for me, it reduces annoying alarms, which means I will not disable or ignore alarms. Color night vision and spotlights are also a big selling point; then you have excellent recording options. The disadvantages are the battery (still good) and price (I think it is still very affordable)
In terms of price, Blink XT2 is clearly the winner. Its price is always lower than that of eufyCam 2C, and the 2-year battery life of AA batteries is very suitable for people who don’t want to charge the camera every few months. Some people may think that cloud storage is also superior, limiting the opportunity for intruders to damage recordings, but the lack of upgrade options in the department is disappointing.
Regional movement can help you reduce false alarms, but in a British weather garden like mine, I always see shadows, branches, rain or garbage triggering the camera.
