Australia A record number of daily additions have been reported Coronavirus disease-19 incidents because of anti-blockade protests in the capital.
Some other states in Australia will still report Covid-19 cases every day, but the number of new infections has exceeded the previous day’s high of the pandemic, which was 753 on Thursday.
On Saturday, Sydney deployed more than 1,500 police officers to try to prevent unauthorized anti-blockade protests.
Protests are also planned in Melbourne after Victorian Governor Daniel Andrews extended the lockdown to the entire state following 61 new cases.

Russia reported 797 coronavirus-related deaths and 21,000 new cases in the last 24 hours on Saturday, including 1,852 in the capital Moscow.
Russia was hit by a surge in cases this summer, which peaked in July, and the authorities blamed it on the slow absorption of the Delta variant and domestically produced vaccines.
RIA News Agency quoted the Ministry of Health as saying on Friday that the country has so far vaccinated more than 43 million people out of more than 144 million people with Covid-19.

Concerns about child deaths are related to abuse during lockdown
Since England’s first coronavirus lockdown, the “tragic” increase in child deaths and serious injuries related to abuse or neglect has been appealing to Parliament for more support.
The child protection practice review team received 536 serious incident notifications from local authorities between April 2020 and March 2021, including 223 deaths and 284 serious injuries.
According to its latest fiscal year report first released last month, this is an increase of 19% over the previous year.
The figures for 2018-19 and 2019-20 have declined.
The Local Government Association (LGA) stated that this rise is a “huge cause of concern” for child safety, and that families are under increasing pressure during the pandemic.
