How many times have we seen Twitter pull the trigger on someone now?
But they are not biased at all, right?
They just chase the other one. This time, it was Christina Pushaw, press secretary to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
As we reported earlier, The Associated Press made a flawed and popular article on DeSantis (how many do we see now?), which falsely hinted at DeSantis’ payment plan to promote Regeneron COVID-19 antibody treatment. His press secretary and other media refuted these claims. But the Associated Press later claimed that because Pushau defended DeSantis, somehow she was activating an online mob against their reporter.

Pushaw pointed out how their bad reports actually prevent people from getting useful treatment.

“No one in our office threatened him,” Pushau told Fox News. “His story drew severe criticism because it was wrong — and prevented people from seeking life-saving treatment. The Associated Press did not acknowledge this and retracted their popular articles, but instead redoubled their efforts and tried to produce relevant reports received by reporters. Strongly opposed story.” [….]
She said: “They were caught for posting misinformation that could endanger the lives of Florida people and make them trust too much in life-saving treatments… not the governor they thought they didn’t like.” “They were called up, partly. Because of me, partly because this story is clearly wrong…They caused this by posting this dangerous misinformation.”
She added that after Farrington told her he had begun to receive threats, she deleted the Associated Press’s tweet about his original story that said “drag them”. She added that she did not try to cover up her tracks by deleting old tweets, nor did she condone any threats to reporters and urged him to call the police.
“Dragging them” is not a threat, but an appeal for criticism. No matter what the reporter thinks, they are not immune from criticism.
But suddenly, after the Associated Press’s dust settled, her account was locked on Twitter for 12 hours. She was not even told why.

“Will you ban the press secretaries of elected officials while allowing the Taliban to live stream their conquest of Afghanistan on Twitter?” Pushaw responded in a statement to Fox News. “This proves once again that Governor DeSantis is right. Those who challenge false narratives are often held down too low by the collusion between corporate media and big technology.”
A Twitter spokesperson confirmed Pushaw’s suspension. When Fox News asked which tweets violated Twitter’s policy, the spokesperson replied: “We have nothing to share other than the statement, thank you.”
Twitter has no problems with the Taliban on their platform, but they seem to have suspended people like Pushaw for no reason because she debunked the Associated Press story. It is not clear that the reason for the suspension was because she deleted this tweet, which did not pose a threat in the first place. If the pause is due to a tweet that “drags them”, it seems to be an overreaction. There are always worse things on the left that are ignored by Twitter. If they can’t even explain why they do it, then their behavior doesn’t sound like there are many reasons.
